Park Lake Provincial Park

Great place for families to go on a weekend at the beach. Beach is more fine pea gravel as opposed to sand. Ice cream sales and candy. Decent camping with hookups. Max boat motor on Lake is 9.9hp

A fine enough place for a walk or to spend the afternoon. Water quality is questionable.

Park Lake is a nice, nearby getaway. We were looking forward to the little concession stand where we were going to get ice cream, but it was closed :( I imagine it's open only on weekends, we were there on a weekday. The bathrooms are all outhouses and the garbage bins smelled really bad. I was told years ago by my doctor not to swim in park lake or let my daughter swim in the water, as it was brining in many girls to the clinic with infections "down there" from the unclean water. So we don't go there to swim, but it's got a pretty little walking path and some nice trees. Last time we tried to camp there tho it was death by mosquitoes in the evening.

Relaxing and enjoyable hot dog roast over an open fire in picnic area. Beautiful weather and natural scenery. Uplifting evening.

Mature trees on each camp site. Lake was nice but a bit busy on the beach. Outhouse cleaned each morning.
