Great Donair made here. Warm, spicy and lots of meat.

You can tell if someone loves what they do and clearly they do! I came in at 10:05 pm and they will cooked up some delicious burger and fries for me. Any other place you go to 30 minutes to close they look at you like you are the devil. They saved my night I was sick and had no energy to cook. Their burger is high quality and very satisfying. Fries are out of this world in freshness. If there is a better burger in the north east part of town I haven't found it. Just a fantastic place to go.

Since new owners have taken over, food quality has taken a dive. Gravy was lumpy, donair meat was over cooked and they have switched from homemade burgers to frozen patties. Not to mention cleanliness was not on the order that day. Not 1 order was correct and he had to try a few times to make it right. Nothing but a sorry. We were regulars there but not any lomget. No bacon, no business. Figure out how to make food before buying a restaurant would be my advice.

This place used to be my go to for a Donair when the previous couple ran it! The food was AMAZING, and it was always so nice and clean in there. A 5 star place. Since the new ownership it is always dirty in there, even though it’s not busy at all. The food quality also went down, and he’s not as friendly. I am afraid to know what the kitchen looks like just judging by the dirty seating area again, when it’s empty and slow, and could easily be cleaned.

My buddy and I have quite literally been to every donair shop through the city. From Millwoods to Ellerslie, terwillger to Whyte, downtown to the west and all over the Northside. We settled on Swiss Donair off of 82nd, because don't get me wrong, they have unreal food. Ever since our first time to Richards we haven't looked back. Unreal food, great tasting, well prepped, a donair where the sauce doesn't run to the bottom of the bag after the first two bites. Rings and fries are crispy and not oily. The burgers are well prepped and not sloppy. I definitely recommend this place to anybody around. It's definitly a small gem that is for darn certain! The service the man and his lovely wife provide is comfortable and very personable. Great atmosphere! 5 stars over and over.

I went in for pizza but the menus changing. I was going to go somewhere else and was convinced to try a home made burger. Wow. It was so worth it. Great food reasonable price. Do yourself a favour and give it a try!

Ownership changed again as of August 2017. Former owners were great and their burgers were top notch, handmade patties. Just tried the chipotle burger from the new owner, slim frozen party, no chipotle and tasted like dog food. Donair meat has also changed to something unrecognizable. Used to be a frequent customer, now never going back. Oh and the new owner is taking bacon off the menu for whatever reason in a burger shop, good luck with that.

Dirty, dirty... there us caked on dirt on the range hood, ceiling tiles and vents over the food prep area. When the fries were being cooked the overwhelmimg smell of burnt oil was intense.

Not sure how this place got 4.6 star. Chicken burger was $11 and i got a McDonalds $2 wet bun. Was told chicken tenders were big and they were the size of chicken feet . Fries lame. Lame. Lame. Dont go here. It was my cheat meal and it was a wasted cheat meal .

Really good tried probably 25 donairs restaurant but i always return to this one. Why? Fresh Food!
