Rhoda Masjid and Institute

Newer mosque in an old shop, cozy and comfy. They also do Eid prayers and Friday prayers. In summer outside prayer area is good feature here. They do sell ready to eat food after Juma. Several community events are also organized by this mosque. Lots of street parking nearby.

Hi there, We are Syrian family, we came to Ottawa, Canada last week. We would like to visit this mosque, also we would like to know more people as we are feeling lonely now. How can I get from my house in vanier to this mosque? Any recommendations please?

We visited both the Masallah and the coffee shop at Sanad Collective for the first time today Sep7, 2017. We were very impressed: the atmosphere is so peaceful. I felt much more at peace then in our regular mosques. We are from Edmonton, Alberta, and came to Ottawa for few days. We have attended in the past in Edmonton lectures by Sheikh Hamdi Benaissa and his lovely wife Shenaz, and enjoyed them so much that we decided to visit their centre when we are in Ottawa. The centre reminded me of something similar we have in Edmonton: The Green Room which is an offshoot of IFSSA (Islamic Family Social Services) and Tarjuma. The couple running the coffee shop were so welcoming. There is also a community garden at the back.

Such a spiritual place of learning, an Amazing Shaykh Hamdi, and a beautiful community along with delicious menu at the Lotus Cafe :)
