Google ReviewnnAlhamdulillah, we stopped here for our Zuhr prayer while traveling from west to east, and we are truly grateful for the experience.nnMasjid Bilal is a beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained mosque. The prayer hall is spacious, calm, and quiet — perfect for focusing in salah. The atmosphere inside creates a strong sense of serenity as soon as you walk in.nnThe basement wudu area is very clean and organized, and the toilets are properly maintained. Everything reflects the care and effort of the management.nnAnother big plus is the ample parking space available. There is plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient, especially for travelers or during busy prayer times.nnOverall, we were very satisfied and thankful to find such a well-kept masjid on our journey.nnMay Allah reward the management and everyone who supports and maintains this masjid.nnJazakAllah Khair.
nAs-Salaamu Alaikum ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْnI have traveled to many countries around the world, and I have never witnessed a mosque closing its doors to people wishing to pray, especially for Friday Jumu’ah prayers.nnRegardless of space limitations, it should be up to the worshipper to decide where they pray and connect with Allah. The purpose of a mosque is to facilitate worship, reflection, and remembrance of Allah not to prevent it.nnA mosque is the House of Allah. It exists to welcome believers and provide a place for prayer and spiritual connection. No individual should feel they have the authority to decide who may or may not enter to worship, except where genuine safety or operational concerns require it.nnIt is heartbreaking to see worshippers turned away from a place that is meant to bring people closer to Allah. The masjid belongs to Allah, not to any individual, committee, or group.nnMay Allah guide us to keep His houses open, welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all who come seeking His mercy, guidance, and worship.nn May Allah accept the prayers of all believers and unite our communities in compassion, humility, and brotherhood. Ameen. Suma. Ameen.
The reviews by Osaid Sadek and Myh appear to be based on a limited and somewhat biased perspective and do not reflect the full context of the situation.nnToday was likely one of the busiest days for Masjid Bilal. The staff and volunteers facilitated four Eid prayers, accommodating approximately 4,000 attendees, along with two Jumu’ah prayers serving close to an additional 1,500 people. Managing such large numbers is a significant responsibility and not an easy task.nnI attended the second Jumu’ah prayer, and the remarks regarding parking and future planning were brief—approximately 5 to 7 minutes—not the 20 minutes claimed. The management addressed important considerations, including long-term vision, improving accessibility, and ensuring the comfort and safety of attendees. Parking challenges are a common and legitimate concern for growing communities, and addressing them is part of responsible leadership.nnMaking broad criticisms of an entire organization without accurate facts in a public review is unfair and misleading. It is also important to recognize the dedication of the staff and volunteers, many of whom began their day as early as 5:30 AM and continued until 3:30 PM to serve the community.nnI encourage reviewers to attend regularly with an open mind before making sweeping statements about the mosque.nnI sincerely appreciate the efforts made to accommodate such large gatherings, as they always do. From the bottom of my heart, Jazak Allah Khair for everything.
I’m from Montreal and was visiting Ottawa, we stopped by here to pray and wow. Such a beautiful and clean masjid, the women’s section was clean too!! So many masjids in Montreal give no space to women or when they do it’s in a tiny area that’s not well maintained at all smelly, bugs etc. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere and cleanliness. I hope to come back one day InshAllah.
3 Friday prayers are super convenient. While parking space is plenty, it fills up quick. There is parking available across the road in a plaza.nnThe volunteers do a great job keeping parking organized and help neighbouring businesses maintain their customer only parking.
