If I was rating on food alone it would be an easy 5 stars.....it's delicious. A straightforward, mostly affordable, well thought out menu that delivers across the board with very few losers (maybe a little salt in the rice?). Throw in some perfect sweet tea or a simple cocktail and you'll find yourself wondering why more spots around town can't duplicate this model.
Unfortunately the process leading up to getting that wonderful burnt end chili dog or a piece of perfectly fried chicken can get a little muddled.
Long waits, check.
Loud, check.
Cramped quarters, check. If you want to sit about 3 inches from the table next to you and be knee deep in their conversation....this is the place for you.
The restaurant staff has always been on point during my visits (although they could stop carrying the plates & glasses in such a way that their hands are touching the parts that will soon be in my mouth).
Be prepared to get a little annoyed and certainly wait during peak times and your reward will be some excellent food that you will still be thinking about the next day.

I hands-down LOVE Revival's food and cozy yet rustic atmosphere. They're known for their fried chicken, which is super crisp on the outside, but tender on the inside. But their drop biscuits are my favorite item on the menu. It's kind of like a cross between a savory muffin and a biscuit that's sprinkled with shredded cheese and green onions. I love dipping them in their white cheddar grits.

Delicious food and wonderful staff! I got stranded after lunch at Revival and had to wait 5 hours for a AAA tow on a super cold day. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Burgers, mac-n-cheese, cornbread all so tasty!

I lived in Texas for the first 22 years of my life so when I heard about Revival I had to check it out. It did not disappoint. We went at 5:30 before peak time so we were seated right away. Staff was very friendly and recommended the Johnny Cakes as an app and we were blown away. The sides exceeded our expectations while the chicken was as good as advertised. I can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu

This place is a victim of its own success. It would easily warrant a five star review were there less customers, but as it is, you can expect waits and lots of noise on any visit. If those are big considerations, look elsewhere, but for those willing to endure such impediments, the rewards are great; exceptional southern fare. I'm not a big fan of fried chicken, but theirs is amazing.
