Reversing Falls Restaurant

Skywalk pass is good for two days so you can see both high and low tide. To be honest, you get a decent view from the restaurant or from the road outside. Google maps says it opens at 8am but when we got there at 10, the kids said they couldn't officially open until their manager got there she arrived around 10:15. The restaurant wasn't actually open until 11. Our waitress was lovely. The chowder was quite salty but decent. The seafood linguine tasted like the chowder on top of pasta - exact same ingredients right down to the pepper and tomatoes.

This is a very beautiful place! I truly loved visiting this area and restaurant. The view from both the walkway, balcony and from the restaurant is incredible! The food is tasty and the atmosphere is quaint. Staff was nice and proper. There's a long staircase that leads close to the falls, it's a bit of a work out so get ready for that. Stay safe out there people and be kind to one another. Life is short, enjoy these scenic views!

After a long walk from the cruise ship, The Plank as it's now known, was a welcome sight... But with nothing else around, wasn't sure how it would be. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good in spite of a soft reopening after a change in ownership, and the view is better than from the bridge. It's well worth the extra steps for a welcome break before starting back.

Excellent location with a great view to the reversing Falls. Food was great too except fish n chips.

Went for brunch today. Had fish and chips. It was excellent and my sister had their classic breakfast. She raved about it and let me try some of her pan fried potatoes fries. They were very delicious. Best I’ve tasted in the city. And then there’s the view! Going to have to go back for dinner sometime. And the hostess and our server were both very friendly and professional.

The Skywalk has a great platform to view the rapids. Depending on the person, may be a bit expensive for something that you can view from many other points - the bridge, the lookout trails, the opposite side.

I’m giving it a three because I hope to try it again and it will be better. The meal was expensive and it was OK. I honestly never saw the waitress again after she brought us our food. We had to get the hostess to get our desserts and to get us our drinks and to get our bill. I had the tenderloin tips and the steak was tough and I wanted to tell the waitress, but she never came back. My meal was missing items and I never got that fixed. My husband had the fish and he said it was okay. The restaurant is very nice with a beautiful view and you get to go up to the look out.

If you want a good view of the falls, you are better off walking across the bridge onto the Harbour Passage. Service was slow, but I dont believe it was the servers fault as she was the only one catering for the whole restaurant.

The view is beautiful, the restaurant itself is so nice, staff were so friendly however, I am so sorry to say that the food was not good. I had the seafood chowder $22 and I could tell right away that it didn't look right, very salty, too thick like pudding, and the 2 scallops and 2 shrimp weren't fresh no lobsters in it like the menu said. It made me sick all night long! Very disappointed.

This is a review for "The Plank" most of the reviews that google has displayed are from the previous couple of restaurants that have been at this location under different owners. If you are looking at reviews or photos of the food and interior, only pay attention back to November 2022. Anything before that is the previous location. The food at "The Plank" was only ok, nothing crazy and nothing that impressive. Pretty basic pub food and if that's what you want, then it's fine. You can get better pub food at many different places around Saint John. It's a shame as this place will attract a lot of tourists during cruise season it should really be something more original that could represent the city. It's not though. If you are coming to Saint John on a cruise ship and want pub food, you don't have to walk the 5km 3.1 Miles to get to the plank. Visit really any of the pubs that are right Uptown close by to the main terminals. They all have equal or better food.
