Reinette Café & Patisserie

About

Reinette Cafe & Patisserie serves French pastry and specialty coffee in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Story

The word "Reinette" means "little queen" in French, and it is also a type of apple originated from Normandy, France. It bears golden skin and a pink blush, and its sweet sour taste is particularly suitable for making pastries.

Reinette Cafe & Patisserie Ltd. started from the childhood dream of Chef Jinnee Lu, who from an early age vowed to open a bakery because "sweet desserts are always associated with joyful memories," she said.

Chef Lu received professional trainings from Le Cordon Bleu Paris and Swiss Hotel Management School. She is a certified barista by City & Guilds Barista Training, and has worked in Le Meurice Paris and Disneyland Hotel Paris. Lu's pastries are the combination of tradition, elegance and creativity.

With the range of pastries and artisan coffee on our menu, Reinette is ready to serve your tastebuds like royalty.

Delicious!!!!nThe French pastries here are 11/10! Definitely check this spot out. We loved trying a handful of things, and the coffees were tasty, too!
Food was meh. Scone was alright, 2/3 macarons were stale, one of the chocolate desserts was burnt and when mentioned to staff, they tried to gaslight me. First time visitor was not overly impressed.nnSad to pay for black coffee refill, but guess the economy is bad. Might be back to try high tea but not rushing to do so.
Reinette Café & Patisserie is pure magic in every bite. Flawless macarons that shatter perfectly, rich velvety lattes, and pastries so beautiful they almost feel too pretty to eat but you will—immediately. Warm, welcoming vibe with just the right amount of Parisian charm right here in the city. Easily the best café experience I’ve had in ages.nnSpace isn’t enough but I know that we’re all investing it into a bigger store, I can’t wait!n5 stars aren’t even enough—10/10, will be back tomorrow
I’m always down for food.nThrilled to finally try Reinette Cafe at Millwood — the space is small, but the food was surprisingly satisfying.nnWe ordered the afternoon tea set $40, which came with two sandwiches, two drinks, and a selection of desserts — as you can see in the photo! Honestly, if you just add one more drink, it’s perfect for three people.nnThe matcha had just the right amount of sweetness, and the baked pastries weren’t overly sweet either — just how I like them.nMy top pick? Definitely the mini rose green tea macaron — delicate, floral, and super satisfying.nnOverall, we really enjoyed the afternoon tea set and will definitely be back to try more next time.
Reinette Cafe is truly a hidden gem in the neighbourhood. Reinette Café & Patisserie was a great cafe to visit. The pastries were divine, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I’ve lived in the neighbourhood for quite a few years and have never stepped in .The coffee was excellent, and the service is very attentive. We had sandwiches, caneles,Madeline’s, macrons and coffee. All the pastries were delicious. It’s a great little cafe .
