Reedsburg Dam State Forest Campground

My 5 nights started on a Friday. It wasn't a great start.. Rustic camping shouldn't have anything to do with rustic generators. Also, the weather turned. Let's skip ahead to Sunday. Once the locals, their screaming kids, generators and poor weather left, this was the most relaxing few days I've had at a rustic spot. GREAT kayak fishing. I have a hound who likes to keep an eye on me, otherwise I can't go in the water. I could be out for hours here and because the camp site was literally at the waters edge, life was good for us. He could keep tabs while lounging in the camper. The pike fishing was a BIG surprise as well as the size of the sunnies. Gotta hit that hole past site 47. To be honest, I never even visited the new dam because i was so content hanging out on my site. I'm home now and should have stayed another week. -site 46 and 47

We visit at least once a year! Great rustic camping with several, relatively clean, vaulted restrooms strategically located throughout the campground area. Wonderful views of the flooded Muskegon river above the dam. Cross the dam to embark on a visually rewarding adventure. If you're quiet and looking, you may catch a glimpse of the teeming wildlife that resides there....including bald eagles. My children caught so many fish and crawfish during our short camping trip! We LOVE to explore the dam itself! Hanging out under the waterfalls is one of my kid's favorite pass times... As well as mine! They're starting repairs on the Dam. So it was important for us to visit before they drain above the dam. Can't wait to come back in October to view the changes in water level!

Nice find we stopped for a lunch break back by the campground. Campground near the water some sites where on the shoreline. Spoke to a regular fisherman there said good pike fishing in the lake and multiple species down by the dam.

I only visited someone who was camping. It was nice looking, but the camping sites felt a little cramped. It was very clean though.

Very nice place to relax and enjoy the day fishing. Was our first time there the kids enjoyed fishing off of the damn. They caught a few blue gill some cat fish and a small mouth bass. Will definitely go there again. Planning another family trip next year

Great place to hang out with family & freinds but make sure you have water shoes on.

Rustic campground but clean and open. Always enjoy our time here, even for day trips.

Jumped off the dam, its so fun, caught a bunch of fish too.

Very scenic rustic camping.. Toilets available and fire pits. Located near a damn which gives access to fishing and wading. Plan to bring a tent or camper and all the gear you need. Lake good for a canoe or small boat.

Great campground. 13$ a night. No electric, pump water, vault toilets. Beautiful scenery and campsites, great for a picnic, fishing, canoeing, swimming, etc.
