A good opportunity to discover a bit of history about those who helped shaped Ottawa, IL. A unique glimpse to see how affluent people lived during the late 1800 in that area.

Great time and full of history enjoyed the Christmas candlelight tour. Decorations were very beautiful

Lovely tour and history of the mansion. The preservation efforts are impressive given that the mansion served as the town library for a time.

This is a very charming and elegant place to tour especially at Christmas time for candlelight tours. The exterior is wonderful for sitting and eating your takeout sushi from BASH or doing a photo shoot. They have a lovely herb garden. I appreciate that their renovation has been very authentic; for example, they used antique rippled glass to replace old windows. Remarkably, this organization is all volunteer run. It certainly is a significant landmark worth visitation from every local and traveller.

Interesting bit of history.. Chris the guide was knowledgeable.. Sadly the years of being a library has hurt this building.. They have done an excellent job of restoration and making it a great place to visit while in Ottawa Illinois.. I am here for 3 weeks for work and it's charms like this that I like to visit.. Yall have a beautiful town here..

Went to the haunted tour. It was a good deal of fun. Maybe a little campy but I enjoyed it. The mansion itself is extremely beautiful. Truly something to go see if you are able to.

Wonderful tour of a grand historical home. A 'must see' when in Ottawa.

So interesting. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I love history, so this was a perfect place for me to visit.

Seen better mansions. Place needs renovation big time. Very nice staff.

We love to stop by around Chistmas time for the tours of the mansion. Also we've picked up their 2017 calendar and are planing to check some other fall events.
