Excellent Bakery excellent baked goods yummy, Purchase some oatmeal raising cookies from the industrial site location, Good taste,I think they forgot the binder, was more like Granola !!!
I lived 2 blocks away from this bakery growing up. I've seen it grow and change into the most wonderful little bakery. It is a goto for our out of town guests as well. I recommend the Dill Pickle soup and an apple fritter!
I was the owner of this bakery in the early 1980's having purchased it from a twin named Brian Mulroney of all things! When we took it over the owner prior to him came in with advice and access to his incredible Dutch recipes which I still have. Those were remarkable years living in that welcoming town with my two small children attending school nearby and walking to the bakery for lunch. I still dream of the puff pastry almond rings we were so lucky to have been giving the recipe for. I'll be travelling through Redcliffe in the next week and after nearly 40 years looking forward to seeing the place and how it has developed. I'm hoping for finding that almond ring but will be glad to find the business thriving. 2 stars for now for hopes and anticipation and I'll let you all know later how well it lives up to them. Walked over for an afternoon donut. As we were looking at ALL the donuts, we couldn't help but notice ALL the flies and wasps flying from one donut to the next. We asked if they are concerned about the flies and wasps on there food, and the response, " yeah, there's really nothing we can do about it, they just fly away and then come back. " .... Really?!?! You are not concerned about bugs on your food that you are selling to people. I get that you might have flies in your store but why isn't there a glass door to protect the donuts/food from flies and wasps? Super gross, sorry won't be back.
Placed an order online. Got a call saying that they can't get the onion, garlic sourdough from their manufacturer any more..... that should of been my first red flag. I assumed everything was made fresh in house. In my order was 6 dried out doughnuts and I also disappointed in the pepperoni sticks. They used hotdogs buns and then either the pepperoni was really really dry to start with or was really over cooked.Horrible!.Saff was on the only positive. A waste of my drive in Medicine Hat and a waste of my money. This is a reply to the owner and I am going to call themout about their supposedly confusion in a conversation I had. I am not mistaken about the phone call I received. I was specifically told that "you cannot get the onion garlic bread from your manufacturer anymore" did I want a replacement? You say you make product in house , you probably do a make a fair mount of it but obviously not all! Again I will never ever buy anything from Redcliff bakery again.
This bakery is the kind you remember from when you were a kid but can't seem to find anymore. It's independently owned, run, local, and delicious. On top of all that, it just feels like HOME and family when you walk in.
I am beyond impressed with the service and quality of their product. I ordered a cake from Nova Scotia for my daughter’s 25th birthday in Alberta. They exceeded my expectations and made the fact I couldn’t celebrate with her much easier. She was missing the pound cake from home .
First time going here as we were passing through. Loved the baked items I purchased. Friendly service. Their cream puffs were the best I have ever had. If you are ever passing through Redcliffe you should stop and get some treats here
My daughter's birthday party is tomorrow and I ordered a bunch of donut shaped cookies with the vision of her 'cake' being a real donut. The donut cookies are adorable, exactly as expected! But I was actually really disappointed by the donut. When I made my order on the phone I said the plan was for the donut to essentially be her cake, so something pink and girly. I was not expecting this sad pale donut I might try adding sprinkles before the party tomorrow or something. We live 1.5 hrs away, and my sister picked up the order for me, so we can't just come back for a more 'vibrant' donut.
I just grabbed a chocolate puffed wheat square from my local Co-op in Edmonton because I was in rush and needed a quick pick me up. It was THE BEST PUFFED WHEAT SQUARE I have had since my mom used to make them. Oooooey and gooey and so tasty!! Thank you Redcliff, I will look for more of your products!
