Just want to say Colleen at Red Deer tourism reallly made our over night stay in Red deer even more amazing at giving us walking trails to try, great campground to stay and pointing out the best breweries to quench our thirst. You can tell Colleen is very proud of her Red Deer and it shows by what she shares about her community. Thank you so much
Ok, so the building is quite impressive and modern, I liked the architectural design no doubt. But unfortunately, the management does not have a the same good taste when it comes to hiring people. I went into the building to get some help with directions and the girls at the desk were ambivalent to say the least. One of them just handed me a map of red deer and got back to texting without even bothering to ask me what I was searching for. When I inquired again about a specific location, she just pointed me towards the shelf with all the maps of the area. If all people need are maps, then why bother spending taxpayer money on useless staff that have no interest in helping travelers?
When we were browsing the brochures we were approached by someone sitting behind the counter and he gave us a few useful tips. It's a large hall with many brochures and some nice souvenirs.
Located within the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.
