It is a bit confusing with the fact that there are 2 offices across the street from each other and you don't know which one to go to until you go and they say to fo across for this or that service. Other than than, we got friendly service even though we showed up minute before closing.

There policy (not law) of refusal is bull. There phone staff and front desk staff are snotty and demeaning. I was call a child and when I said pardon me Mame. She pretended to be upset with me referring to as Mame? !?!??? Oh. she she refused me and refused to give me any options like an appeal form. I hope they break there arms patting them selves on there backs.

Was told I needed to go and speak to someone in person for emergency funding. I show up and they tell me they can't do anything because I haven't filled the form out online. Was told to fill out the form online and wait for someone to call me for an assessment, yet filling out the form online, the "next steps" say to go into the office in person. Nobody has any idea what they're supposed to be telling people. I am 8 months pregnant, was evicted from my home, unable to work due to being pregnant, had to drop out of school due to fleeing an abusive relationship, and I can't get help. Meanwhile, the abusive ex boyfriend was able to collect emergency funds three times last year in order to fuel his drug habit. Yeah, go ahead and tell me how fair that is.

Won't help me unless I get a full time job which would defeat the purpose of me needing the help in the first place. Despicable people despicable place. Perfect example of what red deer is and always has been. A garbage dump.

Terrible people to deal with. I’m pregnant, single, just lost my full time job, have interviews lined up for other jobs just need help getting by for the time being. Lady I spoke with showed no remorse for the fact that I’m pregnant and having trouble finding jobs that will take pregnant people. Rent was supposed to be payed YESTERDAY and I made that known, still had no remorse for the fact that I had no money to pay my rent. So much for “Alberta supports” when I now may be on the street just because my “excuses” weren’t good enough. Thanks a lot to whoever I just talked to.
