The lady at the front desk was pleasant but the Cesar salad i received was sooo sad. Almost no chicken, no cheese, no love...not worth the $20 I paid tip included. The outside seating terrace is lovely though and provides a quiet respite from the bustling main street
Had the French dip sandwich with Au jus. The sandwich was sliced beef with grilled onions, cheese. Also had today's special, Irish stew. Food was ok.
Like many places on the Island the food is sub par. The menus is short and not much variety, the best thing on the menu is the grinder sandwhich, even then it's a bit dry make sure you get a drink. That being said the staff is wonderful, always kind and patient, and timely. The atmosphere is pleasing, inside is cozy cafe vibes. I'm from NYC so it's reminescent of a coffee shop you'd find in the Slope.
We came over to Bainbridge for some the ferry ride, some quiet, shopping, and some lunch. We kept walking by ther restaurants closer to the ferry landing because were mobbed. I rembered this little restaurant from about 7 years ago when I went there with my elderly father. The food was good. We had a sandwich and a salad. Both were prepared well and well presented. The service was awesome even though it was counter service. We felt welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
Lunch was fantastic! Highly recommend the Grinder sandwich!! It was soo good, I cannot wait to come back. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Well done!
Cute atmosphere but they had run out of all the flatbreads, sandwich breads and some meats. We were able to piece together a lunch but they were much smaller than what should have been without an offering of something else to make up for the missing ingredients/smaller lunch.

French dip is almost always my choice--It's great. This month Nov split pea soup is being offered and it is perfect for a rainy day. I love the cafe because there is always plenty of parking.

It was a real treat to pop down to the green, have my family ALL order something they liked right away one vegan, one carnivore, one you just never seem to make happy...plus two adults and have it all ready within 10 minutes. The HBLT is awesome! There were NO complaints! The fact that they've opened during a pandemic is even more impressive. Looking forward to eating there again and hopefully when we get through all this together, dining in!
