My husband and I popped in last night and were so grateful to have a place to go celebrate our anniversary after the kids went to bed everywhere else in town was closed and not quite the intimate setting we were looking for. Dessert was delicious and the bubbles on the house provided by our waitress made it even more special. Thank you Jessica! We’ll be back!
Great food in a very comfortable, elegantly cozy space. Owner Is very hands-on, and it is obvious that the community loves the restaurant lots of regulars. Try the Bainbridge Whiskeys. They are really good.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Everything I had was delicious. The service and atmosphere are excellent. I highly recommend the gnocchi. The gnocchi is a bit different from the standard. The sear and sunflower seeds add an interesting texture while the grilled corn adds some sweetness.
Great! The bread starter was definitely an appetizer in the sense that it leaves you wanting more. Mild in every sense & I probably wouldn’t get it again. The fries were crazy flavorful, the burger was good, just a little bit dry. I guess it’s a trade off between a burger that’s easy to eat and a burger that’s supple. It was really good & classy. I’d definitely take a date here.
Took the ferry over to Bainbridge to eat at Mora ice cream and Agate. Both highly recommended! Mussels were perfectly done is a light and flavorful curry broth, use the spoon to finish it all! The elk burger was perfectly cooked with crispy shoestring fries. Certainly a great place for PNW forward fare.
The food was excellent but the real stand out was Rich. If Rich recommends a wine pairing trust him! Great date night, food and incredible service. Everything you want in a nice restaurant is at Agate. We will certainly be back.
I really had great hopes for this restaurant. I made a reservation and had dinner with a new friend here on Friday. I have never been to a fancy restaurant before and felt rushed out the door nearly from the moment I sat down. We were there for about an hour and were told several times while eating that the table was needed after us. The check was brought promptly after our meal was finished and we felt the need to order another drink just to be allowed to stay. I will not eat here again. Being rushed out of an expensive fancy restaurant is a terrible dining experience.
A welcome addition to the Bainbridge dining scene. Warm ambiance, friendly service and delicious food that manages to be both refined and comforting. The coq au vin and bread pudding were both divine. Only the bar needs improvement - my negroni was passable but the party ice and orange wedge need to go. Updated Aug 2020 ... a wonderful Covid-era meal on the outside patio. Food was almost flawless but for the caesar salad which was mostly damp lettuce. Steak frites was superb and the Negroni is much improved. Kudos.
We visited for a nice dinner on our way to the Bainbridge-Seattle ferry terminal. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The menu is limited but everything we tried was delicious! The salmon was amazing and we will definitely eat here again. Try the ginger mock-tails!
We loved everything! The drinks, appetizers, entrées, desserts. The service was excellent as well. We will be back!Food: 5/5
