Great lunch special. 1/2 Sandwiche + soup + tea/coffee $12.95+ Nice atmosphere and Jim is very personable. He seems to know everyone that walks in.Food: 5/5
To be fair, my egg salad sandwich was deli quality and the mushroom soup was quite tasty. I think I scored a deal as I received a whole sandwich too as opposed to the 1/2 soup/sandwich order. However....the hash browns for the breakfast platter were McCain frozen hash browns that are a store-bought poor equivalent of McDonald's. The turkey wrap was inedible - my daughter left most of it. They were out of chowder a sea-side diner out of chowder at 11:30 am? and macaroni/cheese. Each meal was brought out individually with a considerable time span between. This place has charm and potential but needs to reinvent itself. Maybe serve a variety of pre-wrapped good quality products and coffee.
Went in for their Mac n cheese. They didn't have any. I question if they even do it anymore. We got soup n omelette.Took 15 minutes to get the wrong soup served to us n then most disgusting red brick omelette. When the wrong soup was sent back we just kept hearing the guy in kitchen complain that he's hungry n he has to made more food. Most horrific meal experience. A egg bite from Starbucks is faster n tastier then what was served to us n cost less we were the only customers in and at 2:30 they closed kitchen up to close up early. Staffing is horrible with there indifferent to their jobs n loud commentaries. Change in ownership has made this place a HORRIFIC experience.
Stopped in last week hoping to get breakfast but we were too late. So we opted to order 2 of the lunch specials which was turkey real turkey meat sandwich with cheese on a croissant and added cranberry at the servers suggestion. The sandwich was delicious, like tanksgiving in a buttery, flaky pastry. The place is clean and service fast. Lost of local baked treats as well to enjoy
I’ve only ever had breakfast here, and it was good for a cafe. I recommend the crepes.
Lucked into this place and were pleased with our food and beverages. We ordered one savory crepe All In and one sweet crepe jam, peanut butter and banana to share. We were not expecting the egg in the All In to be devilled but it was pretty good. The devilled egg added a nice little zip to the flavor.
$13 for the lunch combo is a good deal! The sandwiches were really good and the turkey soup too! I'll be back here for sure. Classic Sidney spot
First time ordering from Red Brick Cafe. Very disappointing. Tuna sandwich was very wet and didn’t old together like mayo was swapped for water, completely fell apart. Soup tasted good, but very little meat and I found a large piece of chicken bone that quite easy could have gotten lodged in my throat. Won’t be back again.
Well, must be new owners or something as this was one of the worst lunches we've ever had. Ordered mc cheese - 15 minutes later, told there is non. Wife ordered tomato soup - a thick, lumpy, gooey brown mess arrived - stone cold! It didn't eve taste of tomato. Complained to young man in kitchen you have to hunt down the staff. He heated up the messy 'soup', basically dropped it back in from of my wife, and said "thats tomato soup!", and left - very rudely I might add. So unless everything else is closed, your taste buds are dead, you haven't eaten for a year, and you've lst the will to live ...actually, even then, I'd rather chew on my own arm.
A lovely spot to sit down and enjoy a coffee. The coffee was good. Made better by the ORANGE CREAMSICLE loaf! Wowza! I've never had a slice of orange creamsicle loaf before and i hope to sweet heavens it's not my last! Simply delish. Yes, i should be embarrassed by the haste at which i consumed it. Alas, I'm not. Spoil yourself today and add the Red Brick Cafe to your to-do list. Definitely recommend.
