TL;DR: Amazing place to get some delicious food! Definitely give them a visit, you will NOT be disappointed! I was able to get a reservation for 14 people after our 5 hour flight. The staff were all very friendly, fast, and patient with my group. The food was so amazing and tasted fresh. I got the classic burger with fries and it was good. But, I would definitely get their seafood crepe if I get the chance to go back. One complaint I have is that they did not have halibut and a lot of people from my group wanted a menu item with halibut in it. But the staff recommended alternatives for them. I loved the space; it was spacious and had a nice cabin vibe to it. The table were big enough to fit all of our plates and drinks. In short, I would highly recommend Mary Bleue after a flight and would definitely suggest any of their seafood dishes.
This place was amazing and clearly the locals love it here too! We are from Ontario and found this place while looking for a nearby spot to grab dinner. When we arrived we were surprised at how jam packed the place was. Our drink orders were taken right away. While we were waiting for our server Michelle to come back to take our food order we were in awe watching these massive plates of food come out. Our table ordered onion rings to start the portion was huge, the Salmon Burger amazing, the Deluxe Chicken Burger.. again, huge, and the Cajun Chicken pasta. Everything was great - quality, quantity, prices, great location, welcoming environment, and friendly staff. Thanks so much, Sarah Kid-friendliness: Yes Parking: Free parking across the road Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp Dietary restrictions: They do have GF substitutions not sure about vegetarian but I'd assume so
This place has an excellent selection to choose from on the menu, something for everyone. The food is good, it’s a great place to warm up and when they have live music, it’s a wonderful place to hang out. The aviation theme is well done and appropriate for its proximity to the airport and the aviation museum. We go there every couple of weeks and are happy bringing friends. The service is reliable, the tables are clean and the food is excellent.
Great place to eat after getting off the plane. It’s not far from the airport. I had the roast beef dip and I liked how the sauce was made. My husband had the liver and onions. He really enjoyed it. We came at a good time. Our food came out quick. The server was super nice too.
We were the first ones in the cafe after picking up a passenger at the airport. Our server was a lovely cheery woman who immediately brought us menus and our coffee and cocoa. We ordered 5wo different Egg Bennies and both were delicious…the lobster and salmon one and the Blackstone with crispy bacon…so many hash browns , that I brought leftovers home. The food was hot and delicious and arrived quickly. This restaurant never disappoints!
Mary's Bleue Moon Cafe was descent enough. I had the classic platter of a cheese burger with bacon mushrooms and fries. Beef patty wasn't seasoned but was good, it was lacking on the mushrooms and bacon tho. Service was good, place was interesting Cost for the platter was $25 with a coffee Worth a visit
a regular stop for us on the way back to the ferry terminal. Great comfort style food at good prices. The lager I had was very good and always order the lemon meringue pie! Service took a little longer than expected, but we had a lot of time before our sailing anyways lol
I'm a fan of Mary's. I have been a fan for a long time and actually think of it more of a pub than a cafe I know it's not a pub. Even though my friends and I don't live nearby, it is a place we make sure to visit when we are on the Peninsula. The food is good and we have always liked the staff. I think I've been consistently happier with the regular menu items than the specials, but even some of the regular specials have been impressive. Granted, I haven't experienced many of the specials on the last decade - so let's just say that I know their regular fare, I do like their regular fare, and I go out of my way to get it when I can. Mary's is the type of place that people love to come back to. My parents and their friends would come here often and my mom took us here just recently. My friends and I did a lot, and still do, and I know the staff get to know many people all around because there return. It's the type of place where you drop in for a bite, you have a good time, and you're happy you made that trip - so you know you want to do it again and again!
This place is tucked in Sidney! To be honest, we couldn’t find a dining spot at Surly mermaid & we drove here as they had walk-in availability, and we’re glad we did! The hostess was very warm & informative! She quickly ID’d & checked our vaccination status! We had the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich which was on their chefs special, Broccoli coconut soup & garden salad with beets , Candid pecan & cranberries! The food was really amazing & the sandwich bread was soo fresh! We had ordered the Mac & cheese for our toddler & she partially immersed herself in it! The sourdough was probably baked in-house & was spot on! Overall it was a no-fuss, VFM brunch spot! We did see a lot of elders dining in, and a few who were regulars!
Great burgers and good prices. The 2 piece cod fish and chips is a large serving that could be shared. Unique decor about local aviation history.Food: 5/5
