RBC Royal Bank

A couple of weeks, I was looking to open my first credit card. Harpreet Singh was my Credit Advisor. On our first visit, he told me I did not have an existing Credit Bureau. After reaching out to different credit bureau’s myself, I was told that it does in fact exist. We were ready to continue with the process, I have collected all the needed documents. However, he told me the bank has declined my application as I couldn’t provide my guaranteed hours, and until I do so the case is closed. It is unnecessary as it is not a requirement to get a credit card. In addition, being a part-time worker and a student, it is simply not an option. I reached out to RBC and was redirected with another representative, who was able to go through my file and confirm that my application was still open. She helped me apply online and I was approved for credit immediately after. I was very disappointed with incompetence with RBC advisors at this location, I would advise people to go elsewhere.

Like standing in line waiting for 1-2 tellers despite the fact there’s 6 wickets? Well this is the place for you. Maybe you’re thinking yourself “I’ll just ask for the manager”? Nah, they’re either not here or hiding in their office. This isn’t just a one off either. 3 separate times, 3 different times of day. Same result. Everyone in line is grumpy, people openly talking about how garbage RBC is. Didn’t they have record profits last year? Pathetic.

Horrible experience, with rbc. They are dragging out an estate POA application.going on 3 months now. Delt with cibc and bmo and the transition was seamless in 1 day as same process had to be done their aswell. Had to reinvlove our lawyer and the oncologist to appease RBC. Rbc must think they are special. Will be closing all a couts here indefinitely. I do not recommend.

15 in line, 2 tellers working but helping each other deal with the 2 customers they have!! People are on lunch breaks and don’t have all day to stand in line but they don’t seem to care!!! So much for convenience, driving to the St. Albert location would be faster

My bank card stopped working and went in to get a new one. They could only provide a temporary card which would be fine except I can only use it at their branch to take out cash. The new bank card can also only be sent canada post who are on strike. I offered to pay for the card to be sent through purolator or another delivery service of their choosing and was told no they will only do that for credit cards.
