RBC Royal Bank

Went in to deposit a paycheque that I have been getting for the last 2 years. And they put a 4 day hold on the funds leaving me unable to pay bills and make e transfers. Called the customer service to find out this information. Would recommend a different branch.

Most incompetent teller and worst customer experience ever at this branch with Kulwinder. She insisted that I could not use a bank draft to pay a RBC mastercard because it wasn't guaranteed funds unless I pay cash. She absolutely didn't care about what I had to say but kept on telling me there is nothing she can do. I asked to speak to the manager and she again INSISTED that there was no need. This went on for 10 mins. I was not going to leave until I speak with the manager and finally the manager comes over and says YES I can use a bank draft to pay for the mastercard. I RUBBED IT IN AND SAID OH BUT YOUR TELLER SAYS I CAN'T and stormed off! That is exactly why I needed to speak to the manager! Would never ever bank with RBC!

They made a big mistake and issued a check for a large amount with my number and gave it to another client. Then they fined me since my balance went negative. I told the manager that the number on the check was mine but she said it was a temporary check so she was not sure if they made a mistake which was a lie. temporary or permanent it was my number.Although they investigated and found that it was their mistake, they never called me even though the manager promised to let me know what had happened. She did not even refund the fines until I went to the branch in person and confronted them days later. She also refused to compensate even though she told me she would talk about it after finding it was their fault. What kind of service is this to lie and hide your mistakes and then fine people and hope that people would not come to ask for an explanation. I am very disappointed and would give zero star if that was an option for Google reviews.
