RBC Royal Bank

Just came back from a visit at the branch on December 16th, 2016. Had a friendly welcome with a clean branch. However I did not like the fact that my situation was not fully understood and taken into account. Branch representative made general assumptions about my finances to justify a quick decision without actually looking into my accounts and history to draw a sensible conclusion. I will avoid walking into RBC branches entirely if I can.

This is the 2nd time that I used this branch to deposit a bank draft cheque which I was told by SCotia that it is good as cash. I don't need the cash at the moment but I just don't get it when they told me that they need to keep a hold on a cheque for 4 days. Why would I be told that it is good as cash ? The frustrating comment from one of the staff is " if I want , I can just deposit on my Scotiabank account." Is that good customer service? I have been dealing with RBC for a long time, I don't know why I always have issue with this branch. I used this branch because it's close to my house and this 2nd experience has keep me thinking if I should still go back here at this Middlecote Branch. Never again!!!!

So busy on weekend. Waited over 30 min and then quit... Understaff and staff are stressful... Don't care about customers' time.

Not impressive at all with the tellers very rude , she did not even care about what I was saying and I had to explain my situation 5 times before she actually listened and didn't want to help me to ld me call customer service kept looking at other customers instead of me and I will not return back to this branch !

I booked an appointment online and when I went into the branch the advisor didn't look like she wanted to help me at all, infact she rushed me out of her office. I hope all clients are not treated this poorly. I wanted to set up a pre-authorized payment into my RRSP and later found out she didn't even set this up. I wanted to close my TFSA, and she told me I could just do that myself. She used my kids as an excuse saying "oh , they must be tired, just close the account yourself online". my kids were well behaved sitting on the chairs in her office. another 5 minutes would not have changed anything.
