An amazing place to see an absolutely beautiful view of our area. Please wear hiking shoes and use caution. I watched one older gentleman take a very ugly header into some rocks, luckily, he was fine.
It's a nice area with a scenic view off the side of the cliff. The paths are a bit icy some days and the 2 hour window you have to hike the area is a bit short. Makes you feel like you need to rush to complete the hike and not fully slow down to enjoy the scenery.
Lovely trails! Keep eyes on the little ones close to the edge of the escarpment, otherwise great way to get into nature and unwind! Small loops or nice big trails for hikes, something for everyone
Mid October is the best time to visit Midland area for the color rich forest hikes. Rattlesnake Point trail ads a good viewpoint to overview colorful value. If you are lucky with the weather, you will enjoy an amazing view on a sunny day.
