Decent place with reasonable prices. We ordered the Shio and flaming Dragon Spicy Miso ramen, with the Hokkaido rice combo and Yuzu Chicken Karaage. Chicken was very juicy, and I liked the radish on top!
Came by saturday and wanted to try because of the reviews. The service at the counter fantastic! Server was fast on point, helpful and still tended to the customers in the store. Very impressed. I ordered the vegan soup. Hmm I like that there pumpkin in there. They separated the dry ingredients and soup so it doesn't get soggy. For my taste it's just a slight like a bit too salty. Vegans tend to eat less salt. So otherwise it's a bit better than average. Need to make the soup more savoury then you will have something to talk about. Otherwise it was a great experience. In and out around 10 minutes. From order to pick up.
It's OK. If you've been to Japan this place doesn't hold a candle to true Japan ramen, but for Vancouver it'll do. Soup is OK, not great, noodles not bad, egg was overcooked as you can see. Vancouver rating - 3 stars Japan rating - 2 stars at best, low grade
I've been to all the famous ramen shops downtown and around, which frankly, underwhelmed me. I didn't expect the best so far to be in Aberdeen Centre. This is seriously the closest I've found to the ramen I've had in many trips to Japan. The miso broth was subtle but had a depth of flavour that truly satisfied. The egg was as correct as can be. Will happily be back for more.
Never expected to experience delicious ramen in the Aberdeen Mall. My husband and I ended up at Ramen Taka for our ramen ritual weekend date and I had the original miso, added kikurage mushrooms and an order of gyoza. The ramen was very tasty and the miso had a very nice flavor and the gyoza was also delicious. We would definitely come back to this place!
Typical ramen restaurant, soup stock is flavorful. I prefer the paitan soup compared to the original soup, the original has a very meaty rich taste. Bowl looks small but it's filling! Chasu bowl meat is like pulled pork but is tender with the sauce. Server was attentive even though she's the only one present.
Ordered the Garlic Paitan Shio and with 2 orders of Ramen, you get 1 portion of gyoza for free. The food didn’t take too long to arrive but I wish they would’ve given us the gyoza earlier. The food was alright, nothing impressive. The broth was flavourful but they gave way too much of noodles in comparison to the broth. The good thing about the dish was that Chashu was very flavourful and soft and the broth was nicely done. I just wish they would’ve given us lesser noodles to even out the dish. The gyoza was also not the best. While the filing was good, the gyoza was not crispy at all and was instead soggy. Overall, I believe Vancouver has much better Ramen spots that serve better ramen at the same price point.
The ramen is great quality and has a very good authentic taste at a good price. The sides are also very flavorful and very well made at an excellent quality compared to other Japanese restaurants I've been to. Ordering is convenient and clean if you use your phone. The location should be on the second floor at the end.
I would say this place is very average, if even. It didn’t leave me wanting more or returning. I felt the ingredients could’ve been more flavourful, and noodles could’ve had more of a bite to them. The soup was okay though. I like how this place has vegan options, however, there are much better ramen shops out there. I’d come here more for a convenience factor.
Surprisingly really good ramen!. I didn't expect a Ramen in the mall would be good, but this particular place proved me wrong. First, the broth, smooth, porky, and creamy. The fattiness level is perfect for my tasting! ... Though this place is really small, a family 5, we managed to fit everyone. Super friendly staff, and excellent service.
