My husband and I have a tendency to try a lot of new places for ramen and of course, we have our select few that we frequent often. This was our first time at Hiroshi in Richmond and it was a quaint little place in the cut, at a small strip mall. The service was friendly and the preparation of our food was very quick - we probably spent half an hour to 45 minutes at the restaurant. The gyoza was pretty good - the casing wasn't too thick and the filling was pretty standard. I had the spicy miso ramen and my husband had the mayu ramen, both at a spice level of 2 level 3 being the highest - which my husband originally wanted, but was recommended he did the 2, which was perfect. The broth definitely had a kick to it so it was ideal for a cold afternoon - the ramen was decent and may return to try their karaage donburi. We both agreed that this was a 3.5 star ramen, but since google doesn't do half stars, we agreed to go up rather than down, as the service was friendly and quick.
Place has nice vibe, clean and well maintained. Air conditioned. Service good and fast. I ordered shio ramen with pork broth. The broth was average, not creamy and brimming with marrow. Noodle: perfectly done. Toppings: generic, but generous tamago, whole egg came with my ramen order, and another whole egg when you order extra egg. Chasu: average. They are meticulously cut and charred, but do not melt in the mouth, with texture on the hard side. Karaage: good and well presented, but can be fried a bit longer for more browning and crispiness. Overall: a good meal if you are nearby.
This place used to be Ichigo Ichie Ramen. Hidden away at Ironwood Shopping Centre! I got the Shoyu Ramen lunch set with a mini Chashu don. Service was excellent! RAMEN: Broth was tasty, wish it was thicker though. Noodles were excellent. Torched chashu had great taste, BUT the meat itself was a bit too lean. If only it was a bit fattier and melt in your mouth... Fried garlic flakes were extra, but well worth it! KAKUNI SOBORO: Just like the chashu in the ramen, it was way too lean. I loved the sauce it was in, and how it was torched, but if only it was a bit fattier to really unleash that pork flavour!! FINAL THOUGHTS: It's pretty solid and I would go back here, but changing the chashu would really elevate the overall experience here! Parking: Free parking close by
First time here. The food was good I had the Ajitama Mayu Ramen spicy level 2. I enjoyed it. Service was quick, and the two people I was with said they would be happy to come here again. I agreed with themFood: 5/5
My favourite Ramen place in Richmond!! I went for the first time today, The server was kind, and the food I ordered came out well at the right time, and I was able to come out after a very satisfying lunch, and the chicken carrage and beer I ordered with ramen went very well together. I will be back!!
We chose this ramen shop on a whim and I'm glad we did. The miso ramen was delicious, and the service was exceptional! The food came out quickly: we were in and out in 30 minutes. Highly recommend!
I tried Mayu ramen yesterday and it was great. If you're garlic lover, you should try Mayu. There was spicy level of ramen, 1 to 10. For me 3 was good enough, you should careful if you try 10. Clean interior and friendly staffs. Easy to access and plenty of parking spots.
If you want the tatse of instant frozen ramen, but don't want to do dishes afterwards? This is the place to go I ordered chicken soup with pork chashu. The tatse of the soup, and the texture of the noodle reminds me of the frozen ramen I bought from Asian Supermarket. The soup is very liquid, not thick at all. Not much dimensions. The egg doesn't tatse much. The pork slice is very thin, and not much flavour. Kinda over done too. Overall - not too impress with the Ramen. Reminds me too much of what i can make at home But the chicken karaage is surprisingly good. Very tender and juicy. Match with mayo and lemon juice is ichiban! Takoyaki - it's alright. Service is good, no complaints. And serving time is fast. As soon as I placed my order, the food came right away. Environment is clean and comfortable. Ambient is dark and dim. Did not visit the washroom Would I come again? Probably not. My fav ramen places are gmen, and marutama. I use them as my benchmark
Food is ok, meat looks pretty dry. Server staff has a weird vibe that screams keep out, not very friendly tone. Service was ok other than that. Overall experience is ok, just don't feel very welcomed.Food: 3/5
True hidden gem in Richmond. All the ramen lovers in Richmond should try this place. I’ll definitely comeback. Highly recommended!
