What a wonderful experience. A great atmosphere, friendly staff, absolutely phenomenal poppadoms with a nice Tamarind sauce, beautifully cooked beef Biryani with a nice subtle curry undertone, heavenly garlic naan, and wonderful Beef Rogan Josh. At an amazing price as well. And the tiny salt/pepper shakers are very cute. I'll be back A.S.A.P. My husband and I were in the area and had a craving for Indian food. I found Raj Mahal on Google and based on the good reviews, we decided to give it a shot. So glad we did! We had the samosa chaat appetizer, followed by the butter chicken and korma chicken curries. We also had the garlic and plain naans as sides. Everything was delicious! Portions were generous and prices are on par with most Indian restaurants. Staff were helpful and the restaurant looked clean. Would definitely recommend!
The restaurant is right off the intersection of Dufferin and Steeles. The restaurant is well kept, really beautiful design on the inside. The pani puri was a disappointment. However, the daal makni n lamb vindaloo was phenomenal. The service was also great. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options! Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu
Overall an amazing experience at the restaurant. The interiors are very well decorated. You'll get an Indian vibe once you are in the restaurant. The location is really good with lots of parking space available at the plaza. The staff is friendly and helpful however we saw only one lady serving everyone. It was a weekday perhaps that could be the reason. The food tasted good. We ordered the platter kebabs and paneer tikka, all were served on sizzler plates it was really good. For drinks apart from Lassi we didn't have much option I hope some more options are available in future like falooda etc. I would recommend and revisit again.
This place is absolutely amazing, the decor is colourful without being overly so, the atmosphere is warm, the food is so tasty; everything in the right balance. I had the Pappadums and Tamarind sauce as a starter, the Lamb Korma and Garlic Naan and Gulab Jamun as dessert.The service is amazing, the wait staff were so warmshoutout to Sujata, she went above and beyond I definitely recommend!
The Kadai Paneer and garlic naan at this Indian restaurant were a flavor explosion in my mouth. The garlic naan was warm, crispy, soft, and fluffy. We ordered Tandoori platter, garlic naan, plain naan, mint lemonade and mango lassi. Tandoori platter is a good option if you want to try their variety of kababs and easily shareable among 3. I liked plain naan better than garlic naan. The decor and music has full indian vibe. Parking: Ample parking space
This Indian restaurant was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious. Sujata and Smriti were very friendly and informative. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.Food: 5/5
This restaurant was not all that it was hyped up to be. The service was poor in the beginning but after a while, it got better. We got our appetizers and then we received the main course before the finished appetizer plates were removed. All the food to be honest, tasted the same. The only glimmer of hope was the lamb biryani and the vegetarian biryani. The garlic naans were not as advertised by others. Just an overall ho him evening. The portion sizes are decent. I wouldn’t recommend this place as a first option for Indian food. Don’t forget to follow me!!
