Shamshiri Restaurant

Excellent Persian kabob. We are visiting from the US and local family told us to stop by. We ordered the eggplant appetizer, yogurt with mint and cucumbers and the ground meat kabob/ chicken breast kabob combos with rice. Portion sizes are large enough for adults to share. Try the cold yogurt drink dough for a refreshing side. Service was also excellent. I’d highly recommending you drop by for a meal and finish off with some hot tea and sugar candy. We got the family pack 3 and it was absolutely delicious. Probably the best joojeh I ever had! Everything tasted so good and juicy. The rice was delicious as well. It also came with a lot of sides which most restaurants don't really do. The portion size was perfect, we had plenty food left. The service was also exceptional!! We came from Montreal and we will definitely come back here when we visit Toronto.

My name is Hanni. On Sunday, September 3, 2023, my husband and I with our guests were at Shamshiri Resturant. We tried this Resturant many times in the past and every time we loved the food and the people who work there. We ordered several different types of food and some homemade Doogh yogurt drink. The food is always sooo delicious and amazing there. Shahzad helped us with serving the food. Farnaz and Nafis were also working on that day. We give 100 out of 100 for the customer service and the quality of the food. The staff are all, so lovely, pleasant, kind and helpful. We suggest this resturant for those who love excellent Persian food with very reasonable price in a friendly and clean Resturant with a very happy atmosphere. Shahrzad, Mahdieh, Niayesh and Farnaz helped us today Nov 3, 2023 once again, and we enjoyed different delicious food and wonderful and friendly service at Shamshiri Resturant.

Generous portions and pretty good Iranian food although on the very greasy side compared to Iranian places I had in NYC. The bread was unique. The two eggplant appetizers were lovely and so was the signature Iranian soup aash reshteh. Didn't like the ghormeh sabzi stew as much. Got also meat dishes for my friends and they said the food was great.

I came in here solely because I happened to be walking by and I was really hungry, with zero expectations, and walked out thinking I'd just had some of the best Iranian food in Toronto a city with no shortage of great Iranian food. There's nothing special about the atmosphere, and I must say they were out of "Doogh" that day, which is unheard of in an Iranian restaurant. But I'm willing to give it five stars on the excellent quality of the food alone.

They have limited parking spots available on the side of the restaurant and there are 6 tables available for dine in. The staff and the owner are friendly. When we arrived, all the tables were full and had to wait for 5 -10 minutes for our table to get ready. But it seems like most of their customers order for takeout. We ordered a Family Package 3 and upgraded our drinks to homemade Doogh for +$2.5. It was served one platter of rice, one platter of kebab 1 Barg, 1 Chicken Leg, 2 Koobideh and olives, pickles, jalapeños and raw onions. Kebabs were tender and juicy; I really liked Barg Kabab. My only comment is that some pieces of chicken Kebab weren’t fully cooked.

I enthusiastically recommend this place; it's become my go-to restaurant on a weekly basis. Farnaz consistently provides exceptional customer service, making every visit a pleasure. The Kababs are not only juicy but incredibly flavourful. Furthermore, the portions are generous, accompanied by a delightful salad and beverage that adds to the overall satisfaction of the meal.

I'm a regular at Shamshiri, the Persian restaurant in North York, Ontario, and it never disappoints. The Koobideh, a classic minced beef kebab, is consistently outstanding. While some dishes may not be perfect, the friendly staff always make my visits enjoyable. Just keep in mind that parking and seating can be a bit tricky on weekends. Overall, it's a go-to spot for authentic Persian cuisine.

Newly opened Persian restaurant Well sized portions with friendly and attentive servers, welcoming and warm responds. They welcome you with Salads which were frigid cold, needs to be room temperature Koobideh was good, tasty and good quality Chicken breast was great, both taste and serving was top rated among the rest of Persian cookery. Overall a good experience.
