Railside Bowl

Terribly disappointed . Planned a Family Christmas bowling get together - 16 people. Booked lanes. Family arrived from Penhold, Red Deer and Sylvan only to find the doors locked! Will never go back or support the bowling alley or Pizza Hut in Sylvan.

Poor organization. Our family booked lanes for 11:30am, the lanes were supposed to open at 11 but no one was there. We tried phoning but no answer, we won't be supporting this business in the future.

Called the bowling place about 12 times to book a lane. After the 12th time, they answered but the guy wouldn’t tell me if he had any availability for the night. All I got was a “I don’t know if there’s availability..I’ll call you back” and I never received a call back. Won’t be attempting to go again :

Poor service, poor management and no organization. The bowling alley itself is in terrible condition. It use to be a great place to go, but lack of management and business knowledge has made the place continue to go down hill. Highly recommend Heritage Lanes in Red Deer instead.

Phoned to make reservations on this rainy day for 6 adults and was told to come by at 7 pm. When we arrived, our party was told that "the guy got sick and left" and that they were closing up for the night. Guess he took all the pins and lanes with him. Planned our day around this event, and no further explanation was given.

The bathroom was so nasty. The handicapped bathroom was Clogged and there was no toilet paper in the one I was able to use At least put up an out of order sign and replenish toiletries For a place not so busy it should be kept up or hire someone to serve us. We had to go to the pizza place to get service in the bowling alley

When I went to go bowling an hour before it closed. I was denied service because he was not in the mood to put my group names in the machine and give us our shoes. Extremely upset with our service and would not go back again.

Scoring animations were super fun but we had zero service. Got our first drink when we arrived then the server was gone the whole hour. They're connected to a pizza place so I think he may of been the cook, but when you have to pay $40 p/p for a rapid test to go out, you hope to have some service. Before we started he said push the help button if we needed anything, so we used it, and still no service . Makes it hard to support local.

Wanted to play a game of pool, after paying we waited 45 minutes while the only worker there chilled in the office. He came out and served other people. We asked for a refund and he refused to give it. He then handed us the balls when it was way to late to play. We left immediately after he denied our money back. Go to heritage lanes in red deer, it is a wonderful bowling alley.

Only one guy working between bowling and pizza hut. Couldn't get a Pepsi or help, took ages to get shoes and they had no loonies for the arcade games. Run down.
