Hallmark Movie Setting, no REALLY, I don't even watch the Hallmark channel but my wife does a lot and I only catch glimpses but you can always tell it's a hallmark movie just by the decorating and setting. This is/could be on the Hallmark channel.........without question, it's the first thing that came out of my mouth when we entered this beautiful home as I instantly just began chuckling that I was gonna get some tonight just from the excitement on my wife's face, simply unbelievable atmosphere. Very romantic, with warm cookies just waiting for you, wines available, jacuzzi waiting. The pictures look good but aren't anything like the reality of being there and the impressions you get everywhere you go in this house. Will be going every year from now on and visiting during every season to get that experience too. We went in Dec. for 2 nights and had the best 3 day/2 nights in a very long time. Is it summer yet??

Wonderfully maintained home over 100 years old. Totally modern. Matt has done a masterful job making the house feel very homey. Stayed in the largest room, the Colvill Suite, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The king bed was very comfortable. We were there in the middle of the week so practically had the whole house to ourselves. Felt like it was our personal residence. Only disappointment is that during the week they don't serve breakfast and don't "freshen up" your room. You get a voucher to go up the street about 1 1/2 blocks to a deli for breakfast. The food was good but very limited in selection. The chocolate truffles in our room were to die for!! We have to go back on a weekend so we can get breakfast. All the comments in the guest book raved about it.

Beautiful bread and breakfast in a nice little town. The place was very clean. The breakfasts were superb. I agree with the previous reviews about the owner paying attention to the small details. The woodwork inside is very nice. The place was within walking distance of a winery and a couple acceptable eating places - including the place President Obama ate during his recent visit. As an added plus the rooms all have flatscreen TVs.
