Dropped off a prescription 2 months ago. Drug was not available. Pharmacy was to contact Dr requesting an alternate. 4 weeks and have not heard a peep. If you want to grow your business and attract new patients, simply follow up with them. With this type of customer service, I ain’t coming back.
I'm extremely sad to give this review as up until now I've had nothing but good things to say about this pharmacy and location. The staff have been wonderful and extremely helpful with my needs as a person who a. Has ADHD and chronic migraines every 2-3 days and b. Works in film 50-80hrs/wk. Recently I had to call in for a prescription for a non-stimulant medication. I believed I had a refill for from a recent Dr's apt. I guess this hadn't been put through as they only received a different prescription that was filled. I asked if they could give me a week or two of an emergency supply as it's hard to get an appointment with my doctor. This is a service that I have had to use in the past as I have multiple medications and well, ADHD. I'm out of this medication which is NOT a controlled substance but it is a medication for ADHD. The person with whom I spoke with said that the pharmacist did not feel comfortable giving emergency refills for any ADHD medication. I've been on this medication for 5 months, and have had so much help from Pure in the past as my crazy job and my brain means I lose track of refills. I've decided that this bad experience and being treated like a drug addict for simply needing a few days worth of help for a non-stimulant, non-addictive medication that is necessary to my functioning with a disability is a line that is hard to uncross. The government of BC has allowed for this service and it has been IMMENSELY helpful for us with organizational challenges who often have to pay the 'ADHD tax' to get things done last minute because of our brains. I know this may just be a bad experience with an older pharmacist that is uninformed about certain disabilities, but I will be moving my prescriptions to a non-boutique pharmacy that has more convenient hours.
I bought some eye drops at the W 10th location two days ago. I went back today to return them unused and unopened to the W 10th location but it was closed. I then went to the location on W 4th st, but was told that I could only return them at the original location. What kind of company with more than 10 locations in the area has such a policy? I will not shop there again.
All their customers must be deaf because they are playing the worst music very loudly. Not the natural health vibe I expected.
Nice place with nice people, but annoyed that they changed their points system over to a new system, thereby deleting all my points from the old system. On top of that, I realized they overcharged for an item I just bought but only after I got home and looked at the receipt.
I love Pure Pharmacy on 4th Ave. The atmosphere is always welcoming and pleasing, they offer fresh herbal tea, they carry top-of-the line natural health supplements the brands carried by my naturopath and they have staff that are very informed on how to use natural supplements. The pharmacist is super friendly and knowledgeable and always ready to answer my questions and make suggestions. They fill my prescriptions super fast and charge a fee that’s very competitive. They are a highly professional and very well run business and I’m so glad to have them in my neighbourhood!
I went up to what I thought was the till to buy a product and sales associate Dawna was very standoffish - not warm at all. "This is not a til, you have to go to the front or the back," with this judging, smirking look on her face like I was the biggest fool of all time? I'm sorry I thought the table in the middle of the store was a register? I genuinely came in just wanting to hand over my money to buy an item, and I left feeling judged, and made out to feel stupid? It was all in her demeanor, facial expression and tone. Very rude and an elitist vibe. As a mention, the other two staff members did seem nice, and even asked me if I needed help finding anything.
It is nice to know there are still pharmacies where there a people immediately available to assist with any questions in both a very friendly, and professional manner. The store is clean and organized and in all my visits I was able to obtain the things I required. Donna was especially helpful.
My friend and I travel over to attend The West Coast Womens Clinic. They recommended we get what we needed at Pure. We have been using this Pharmacy ever since. We look forward to it every trip. We always find something unique in the store. We also so appreciate the service. Pharmacist Ying Wang goes above and beyond. She makes recommendations. Shes kind and helpful. We look forward to seeing her!
