Was there yesterday, bought some groceries fruit cereal milk.nThe blueberrys and plums,were not edible like mush.nIn Less than, twenty four hours but they have good deals.
I went to do my groceries shopping at around 9:30 a.m. today. When I go at this time, there is usually one cashier there. Today, there was none. I was forced to go to the self-checkout as the usual cashier was watching/helping the shoppers scan their items. I don’t mind when I have a few articles, but I had a pretty full cart. The place was busy enough by 10, and no staffed cash open. The prices are not that great either: one bunch carrots $4, green beans $5, and grapes, $4 /lb. their grapes are not nearly as sweet or as firm as compared to IGA btw and yet you are scanning and bagging your food by yourself. Not really worth it for me.
This is another former Loblaws location. Because it’s Quebec they switched all of them over to Provigo. In any case this is irrelevant. The shopping experience is pleasant and I always enjoy the ambiance. I prefer it to most other grocery stores. The prices are a little higher but there’s lots to choose from and of course you have access to the Joe clothing. nUPDATE: July 28/2024 So it’s no longer a Provigo. This is now Maxi. It looks like they’re still in the process of transitioning. Hopefully when it’s finished it will be more pleasant to shop here. The switch is no surprise because you can’t compete with Walmart and Super C which have better prices.
Always check your receipts to ensure posted price matches what they charged. Also check to ensure your points triggered. This store engages in practices that are potentially fraudulent. Only recourse they give is to call a number where you have to wait 30 minutes just to speak to a person who can't do anything for you. Ridiculous.
I love provigo/loblaws stores and this one was no exception. Great selections and I went late on a Wednesday and they still had lots to choose from. It seemed a little more expensive than I'm used to them being.
