They are selling sausages that expired three days ago, and the butcher insists that it is still fine!
Don't buy the chicken on sale or not. Today I bought 3 packs of chicken breast, got home to divy out in freezer bags, once the package was open a beyond foul smell came from it. It's now the 2nd time this has happen. The first time I brought back for a return and the manager of the meat department was saying that they put some type of gas in the chicken, trying to say that the bad smell was not a bad smell of chicken gone bad. Absolutely horrible, ripping people off in a time of inflation and when food price are out of control. IGA is going to give people food poisoning selling tainted meat, just to make a profit. And on top of that it says it was packaged today. Wow! If I could give 0 stars I would.
Disappointed. This has been our go to grocery for many years, but over the past 6 months or so it has been changing for the worse. Subtle things like more price inaccuracies, missing price tags more common in produce section, shifting around items in the hopes I buy junk not on my list but now it just take longer to do my shopping, increased the foot print of alcohol but reduced your micro brew section. I've loved this grocery for years due to the friendliness, quality of produce, and cleanliness of the store. I'm sure these changes are to try and increase sales, but it's leading me to try shopping else where.
I don’t usually shop at IGA because I feel that their prices are a little higher so I shop elsewhere for better deals. Once in a while I do decide to pick a few items there. It may be a little more expensive but they have great products and I enjoy the setup and the decor. This location has nice displays and the products are of good quality.
Today, August 6 at 14:29 did a small grocery, went to the speedy cash with 16 articles. The cashier Christine L was very rude, she said this cash is for 12 articles. I completely understand but the way she said it was degrading especially for 4 extra articles. I am not a child, I am a senior citizen. There is a proper way to speak to customers. I will never go back to that IGA.
