Providence Emergency Room - Everett Colby Campus

This hospital puts their patient's lives at risk, more concerned about their religious faith than science based medicine. They also blast religious nonsense over the hospital wide intercom including morning prayers at early hours of the morning - it woke me up every day, and it's bad enough that it's nearly impossible to get any sleep in the hospital as it is, but to be verbally assaulted with religious craps is infuriating. I consider it a damn crime to allow religion and medicine to co-exist; one is a sadistic fantasy, the other fact based science.

Nurses and doctors were so kind and calming, which is very important for such a crazy work environment like the ER. Even though we had to wait a while for discharge papers, I give this place 5 stars

In the past we've had a great experience at the imaging office for our ultrasounds. Our sonographers took their time and respected how exciting the process and experience is for new parents. This is why I'm giving 3 stars as our last experience had me in tears. Now of course I'm a bit emotional being newly pregnant, but my husband was equally offended by our appointment (although he didn't shed tears). Our sonographer yesterday acted like he was in a race and had absolutely no respect for how momentous this is for us! He made zero effort to have any conversation or say anything really. Hurried through the pictures and was so fast we didn't even get to hear a heartbeat! I wish I would have said something during the appt but I assumed he would take his pictures and then slow down a bit so we could take a look. He abruptly stood up and said he would be back with a due date (which he fumbled and gave us two different gestistational ages). He complained about having a hard time getting a good angle which I believe as the one picture he printed for us was garbage. My husband asked to speak to his supervisor, who was very nice and respectful, but also didn't seem to understand that these appointments are exciting, special and so important to parents! I'm getting teary-eyed again thinking about how excited we were going into this appt to meet our next baby and how disappointed we left feeling like we had been robbed of the opportunity to enjoy it. We asked for the names of sonographers we've had previously so our next and last ultrasound with this baby will be a pleasant experience.

Sat in waiting room for almost 5 hours before I was finally taken back. Two broken bones- tibia and fibula. Layed out on couches slipping in and out of shock. Dr and nurse were great but they're seriously understaffed. All in all room 8 hours start to finish to finally get me in and X-ray and temp cast to get home. Wish they were better equipt to handle more people without making them wait so long.
