Absolutely amazing experience! I am by far the last person to leave a review, pay full price, or purchase retail, but I will go out of my way to find an excuse to shop at this ProHockeyLife. From managers resolving an issue, to floor staff setting me up with new skates, everyone was so nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely made my experience in their store memorable! Can’t praise this store and staff enough!
I visited Pro Hockey Life Ottawa today and was pleasantly surprised! This store is absolutely amazing for anyone who loves hockey, whether you’re a professional, an enthusiast, or just looking for quality gear.nnThe first thing that stands out is the huge selection of equipment. I was there for both work and personal reasons, searching for some sports gear for myself. But what impressed me the most was the incredible variety of skates—I’ve never seen such a selection anywhere else! If I ever decide to buy skates, I will definitely come back here.nnBeyond that, this store has absolutely everything for hockey—from sticks and apparel to protective gear and accessories. You can literally fully equip yourself from head to toe, which is another big reason I’d return.nnI also have to mention the atmosphere. While I was browsing, I felt like I had watched an entire hockey game—that’s how well the hockey spirit is captured here! The only thing missing? Maybe just a place to sit and enjoy watching the game instead of shopping for gear.nnThe store is clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and they’re always ready to help. My overall experience was nothing but positive, so I’m giving it 100 out of 100!nnIf you’re a hockey fan, Pro Hockey Life Ottawa is a must-visit!
Terrible experience trying to order ball hockey gloves for a Christmas present. I ordered Dec 3rd and the website said it was in stock at the store I wanted to pick up from. The order showed it was placed and stated I would get an email confirmation when it was ready for pick up. A week went by and I heard nothing, but understand it’s a busy time of year so I figured they are just busy. I noted that the gloves were no longer listed as in stock at the store so I did send an email through their online “contact us” form just to politely inquire. I never heard anything back. Waited 2 more business days and called the customer service line to inquire. I was told the order was cancelled on Dec 5th but they apologized because “something so weird” happened and it was cancelled but the order still showed it was processed. I was told that they wouldn’t be able to look and see if the money was refunded and I’d have to call back if it wasn’t. I finally got the customer service rep to actually cancel the order which I then immediately got an email saying it was canceled. Then he back tracked and said well maybe when they canceled it the first time it went into my junk email folder. This is obviously not what happened because when I had clicked the “view my order” button which redirects me back to their website it still said my order was processing. I’m also tech savvy enough to know to check my junk folder and earlier in the conversation he had admitted that it didn’t show as cancelled on my order page. Since it’s so close to Christmas now they could not guarantee I would receive my order by Christmas and the whole experience was very frustrating. Would not recommend ordering from them.
Thank you to Malcolm at Pro Hockey Life for helping me fit a new pair of skates for the first time in 18 years. Despite being young, he was extremely well educated in skate technology from previous skate generations. He was able to apply that in finding me some skates similar to my professionally fitted ones from many years ago. THANKS!
Myles at Pro Hockey Life was awesome. He adjusted my skates and took the time to make sure everything fit properly. Super knowledgeable, patient, and didn’t rush it at all. Best service I’ve had there
