Prince Japanese Steak House

This place is pretty good. Food is decent and filling. If you sit at the Teppanyaki tables, they cook the food right in front of you. They put on a whole show, flipping knives and mixing oil and water on the grill to cause a big flame. Although the food is good and the service is nice, the place looks pretty beat up. And there were flies everywhere. The price was right though. $44 for lunch and drinks for two people wasn't bad.

Celebrated my parents' wedding anniversary. There were 10 of us and we were all happy with the food and the service. There were also a lot of couples enjoying a night out. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5

First week in Toronto and for dinner i decided to go to Prince Japanese Restaurant. I read the reviews which gave this place a 4.5 stars so I felt confident that it was worth going. I was seated right away even though it was very busy. The owner who was a very nice gentleman sat me in a small room. The restaurant was very clean and inviting and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The waitress took my order of chicken teriyaki, miso soup and salad. The meal was very good and I really enjoyed the miso soup. The chicken, although I did like it was dark meat and very fatty which I am not a fan of. I like white meat chicken as it is not fatty and has a better taste. Overall I really enjoyed Prince Japanese Restaurant and I highly recommend it!!! I have eaten there 3 more times since. If you are in Toronto area and like Japanese food I think you would really enjoy it.

Good food, a couple order were wrong but the waitress made it right on both occasions. Chicken fried rice and house sake were very good.

If you are interested in teppanyaki then be sure you make a reservation. We got there about 15 mins early and the Maître D’ was kind enough to seat us at an empty table until a spot opened up near the grill. The service was quick and the chef was entertaining. The portion sizes and food was decent, though a little too salty for my taste. Overall a good experience.

Definitely catered towards larger corporate groups. I ordered the shrimp, but from what I saw from what my colleagues ordered as well, the portions were lacking. Additionally, the food didn't really have alot of flavor. The chef tried to entertain but was not very interactive as compared to other similar places.Food: 1/5
