Sushi-Ya Japan

We were visiting Brampton for a few days. Sushi-Ya is a 5 minute walking distance from our hotel. We ordered 4 specialty rolls and two sushi pieces to share between the two people. The food presentation was great and the food was tasty. However, I am a bit undecided about this restaurant. Overall, it was an average dining experience that I do not believe is worth our $95 bill.

What can I say about this place. Although there isn't all you can eat they still have reasonable options available. The food has always been good except the last time I went wasn't bad but it's normally alot better. The staff is always friendly with good service. I'd definitely recommend this place close to the airport so if you looking for a quick meal before your flight or if your hungry after getting off one. I'd say this is a place to check it out.

Sushi here is high quality and fresh. Yum. The seaweed salad was a very nice starter. Waitresses were friendly and checked up on us regularly. Only negative is the tight parking!

I was out for an evening with my girlfriend when we happened upon this place. What a wonderful find! Once you get inside, you feel the welcoming peace. The platter we ordered was filled with very well-made sushi and sashimi. The tempura was crisp and delicious.

Every time we have been to Sushi-Ya Japan, we have had amazing food and service. The staff is really friendly and the presentation, tastes, and freshness is on point.Food: 5/5

this place was not bad at all but i just don’t think it was my cup of tea. don’t get me wrong i loved the vibe of the place though! i heard good things about the food, but from my judgement, the sushi was not the freshest and the best. maybe it was because i came during closing hours, but this place is alright. i had the gyoza as an appetizer and i thought it was pretty delicious. the miso soup is a bit salty for my taste, so i wouldn’t recommend it. but the ice cream is BOMB, especially with the chocolate sauce. overall, average sushi place. i think the prices should be lowered and maybe don’t come during their closing hours.

Very cozy place with tasty and reasonably priced sushi! All the food was delicious! Green Dragon is my favorite. Highly recommend!

Great efficient and friendly staff. Heated patio is nice, warm and spacious. Food is excellent. We had the Miko Boat - everything was very fresh and there were more than enough food for two people. Restroom is clean. Very nice place!

Wife and I had a very nice evening with HUY as our server, he really did a great job helping us pick our dishes and brought them out in perfect time which really added to how much we enjoyed the meal. We enjoyed the cozy restaurant atmosphere. On a second occasion, the server was a bit frustrating as she was busy handling take-out orders, and it was a struggle getting her attention. When they noticed us, all the servers really made an attempt to look after all our needs. While I'm happy they get a lot of take-out business, I wish we didn't have to compete for the server's attention, not to mention the constant stream of drivers coming through the restaurant to pick-up orders. In a small dining room like that, its not nice to have a random person standing over our heads while we eat in addition to servers yelling instructions at them each time they arrived. I like this restaurant, the food is great and the people are very nice even if distracted at times. But I recommend that they offer drivers a side entrance and have a dedicated person or team handling dine-out orders to avoid disturbing the quality of the dine-in experience. Until then, I think I will probably just avoid coming in and maybe order take-out until they get things sorted out.
