The food was great but more importantly the service was excellent. Our server Nikki was genuinely sweet, prompt and kept checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. This little gem was a delightful surprise, the live music was most enjoyable. I will be coming back and recommending it to anyone looking for a great place to eat and excellent service.
Went for lunch today. The place is nicely redone, the service was good. Very average restaurant. My burger had char burnt almost 1/2 way thru it, it was so dry that as soon as I had no more tomatoes and side salad to help it down it was inedible. Told the server and she was apologetic, and all they would comp was 10%, pretty bad. I know I'll never go back.
We came back for the second chance and were pleased with the do over. The dish that I was craving was indeed on the menu for the evening and it was amazing. Our family of 6 was well attended to and the overall experience was great. I look forward to going an visiting in the future, would definitely recommend to anyone living or visiting in Fort McMurray. I am quite happy that we have great places like this in town. A special thanks to Neo and his supportive team in making our evening memorable.
Service wasn't great. No smiles, no welcome . My white Russian had milk chunks , chewing that was unpleasant. Mussels and bruschetta plate presentation was great. But mussels had too much chili flake .I love spicy food. But the chili flake ruined my palate just too much in that small dish .18.00 for that appie and 4 shells unopened . Seafood linguine was amazing .pasta was perfectly cooked and seasoned . Chicken supreme was dry , side salad was loaded with pepper. No dessert.offerings and when we asked for a drink menu they said sorry no we don't have one
Well if you moved in August, the name is still the same and my visit was September 16th. The Montreal steak sandwich taste horrible and fries seems to be too dry as if it was a leftover that was warmed in a microwave. The server was very friendly and sweet.
Came here for a spontaneous dinner when the power went out in thickwood. Nice renovations, but the room has nothing to dampen sound, and so the entire dinner was a loud shamble of competeing voices from all around us. Our server came to us to take our drink order, and then didn’t return to us with our drinks for over 15 minutes. My dinner companions ordered the steak sandwhich with the minestrone soup, the pecan salmon with Caesar salad, and I ordered the chicken parmigiano with a side Caesar. As a table we ordered two orders of the hot wings, and an order of “the best fries in town” as some other reviewers have mentioned. The wings were full of flavour and cooked well, and the fries were good, but the gravy was a bit disappointing. Honestly, the garlic truffle fries at town hall are still the #bestfriesintown. The entrees arrived in a timely manner, and after some across the restaurant gesturing the steak knife and water refill followed 5 minutes later. The minestrone soup went unfinished, but the Caesar salads were delicious and I could have eaten it as a main! The linguini pasta on my chicken Parmesan was flavourful and I wish my portion was a bit bigger! The chicken however was generous in portion size and unfortunate in flavour. The breading on the bottom was flakey and added an unpleasant mouth feel and taste to the bites. Made me miss the chicken parm from Asti’s downtown. The steak sandwhich and pecan salmon got really positive feedback I was told to use the phrase totally wicked killer awesome, though the salmon could have had a few more vegetables not just asparagus. Finally, the 6 layer chocolate heaven cake ordered for the table really ended the evening in a positive note. All in all, service could have been a bit more attentive, though it was a bit busy. Could have been better, could have been worse.
I'm giving it a three because so far over had 4 lunches here for work. The wait staff does a good job. But the serving sizes are a bit disappointing especially the ceasar salads we just ordered were supose to be larges, but all the salads we got just had, had only enough in the containers to not even cover the bottom. It sucks if that's all you are planning on eating is a salad. :/
Very nice upgrade inside. I use to eat here all the time before the fire so I was excited for the re-open. I ordered the blackened salmon salad. The salmon was very dry and there was barely any salad to go with it.
I would have to say I was very disappointed. Compared to the awesome service and amazing food at Prime on Franklin I'm not sure how they have the same name. If I give less then one star I would. With horrible service, lack luster ombience with TVs not working, to food that is either under cooked and lacking visual appearance. I would not recommend bringing a group to this establishment as they may cater to single patrons better then a full tables. Again don't mistake Prime on Franklin with Prime Social Kitchen you will be leaving unfulfilled.
Wow! This place went from hero to zero quickly. What a shame. Went down to the restaurant and ordered the brisket sandwich with a ceasar salad. Waited at the bar for my food and ordered a drink. The lady that served me was wonderful. The food came out within minutes. It was actually so fast that you couldn't help but wonder if it was pre-prepped. Even the lady who served my drink made a comment. The sandwich was decent, but far from what it tasted like 2 months ago. The ceasar salad on the other hand was a joke. There was what looked like 3 bites of very dry romaine lettuce, literally a half a crouton, and... that's all folks. After standing at the front desk for awhile, I leaned over into the view of the open kitchen and eventually caught the attention of a lady busy on her phone. I explained the issue and she took my sorry looking ceasar salad to the back to be topped off. They must realize that you can hear them, you would think. That being said. After hearing much laughter. Lauren, what she said was her name when asked, returned with my new and approved salad. Needless to say, I did not eat it. If anyone who is in management for this restaurant. Which Lauren told me she was. You may want to seriously address your quality control. When you first opened, you had something going for you. Especially in a town that is seriously lacking in something fresh and new. Hopefully this can be turned around. But me being a monthly visitor to this hotel and a short lived fan of this restaurant. I have little faith. It starts at the top
