Brought my JD tractor in Winter to make sure it was ready for the blueberry season. PTO was not working. When they said it was fixed I left with a $900 dollar bill for cleaning the diodes, seemed steep for no issues but didn't argue left with it. Went to use it when we needed it 2 weeks ago and same issue. PTO won't work. Now we are behind time, and work is waiting. Brought it back in, this time they found what they should have found the first time, and charged me another 1700$. So I got double charged for the labour: once for the first where they didn't actually fix it, and then again when they finally found. So it cost me just under $3000 to fix a solenoid. Will avoid at all cost. Seems like a rip off to me.
Came in to check out some equipment and had the pleasure of meeting Scott Davidson, he was great to work with and had me taken care - Thanks again Scott
Update: still never recommending their services. I recommend John Deere equipment owners go to small lawn and garden repairmen for repairs. Many private repairmen are usually more honest, give better services and cheaper prices.nBuyer beware when you take your John Deere to Prairie Coast Chilliwack.nnVery dishonest marketing when they advertised the following in an email to me:nGood Morning,nnI hope this email finds you well! For all Locations from Vancouver-HopenFalse advertising.nnNot taking my tractor for repair and maintenance back there.nI was overcharged over $3000 for a job that I could have got my regular mechanic to do.nPlus, Larry was extremely rude and unapologetic for the technician losing parts of my tractor.nThe tractor now sounds noisier and the foot pedals are stiff. I am getting my regular mechanic to look at it.nDefinitely, never taking my tractor back there. nMinus -5 stars.
Total opposite of Avenue equipment. Nice grassed front yard with a whole range of equipment sitting out in a nice gravel yard. You walk in the front door and its clean well lite with a reception person asking if they can help and direct you to the correct person to talk to. The sales person nice guy walked me around their well laid out and clean yard. We tied out a tractor and took it for a test drive. The service guy came in to talk to the sales person a few times but even he service mechanic was fairly clean. The whole place was just nice, clean and well laid out. The sales person was very helpful and we managed to put together a nice deal on a tractor. He is even going to deliver it himself and explain all the bits to make sure it all goes well.nVery hands on and helpful. If dealership and support are what your after a great place to check out.
Prairie Coast has the poorest customer service of any tractor dealership that I have used. As of now it is 3 plus hours that I have been waiting for the parts department to return my call. I do not blame the parts persons, but management for not managing!
