Story

Situated on the corner of Casual and Fine Dining, Popolo serves an elevated menu in a down-to-earth atmosphere at affordable prices. A interesting wine list and inspiring cocktails add to the excitement. In winter the fireplace in the lobby is roaring on Friday and Saturday and in summer there's dinner on the deck overlooking America's first canal, a granite train tunnel, and the craggy mountains on the Connecticut River.

It's always a pleasure visiting Popolo. Between the excellent food and drinks, the brilliant staff, and the charming atmosphere, this is one of my favorite restaurants not just in Vermont, but around the world as well. Please listen and carefully consider the specials, they are artfully designed by the chef and very often are crafted featuring local and available ingredients. Visit soon, you will not be disappointed.

Loved the lobster pizza. Mushroom soup and calamari spot on. Great vibe with the minimum pay worked into menu prices. Family friendly too. Could do with an espresso machine perhaps.
