Located on the Sugar River in a refurbished mill building that was built in 1901. It offers American dining with a flare in a casual atmosphere. I hesitate to give The Common Man three stars. Despite an uninspired menu, all the specials we've tried have been fantastic: Interesting ingredients, seasonal, and delicious. The rest of the menu is standard fare: Fish, steaks, chicken, and burgers. The location is fantastic, so it's a great place to take your tourist friends. The food is solid enough that the location will make up for it.

Amazing well cooked food, staff is extremely friendly, atmosphere is cozy in the winter with dim lighting and fireplaces, and in the summer they open up a section of the floor and you can see the river run underneath just adding to the experience. This is truly Claremonts finest cuisine. Side note their blackened chicken tacos are top tier.

I go here whenever I happen to be in the area. Most of the time the service is excellent and the food is fantastic. There have been a few occasions where the service was a little bit lacking and the food wasn't what I expected. That's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

I had never been here before and attended a work party here. It was a beautiful location with good food and a perfect atmosphere. It is very spacious and the staff were all good.

Been to many CMan restaurants and this is one of the better. Sitting by the Sugar River, and the falls, the setting is warm and romantic. Loved the deck and the falls at night. First snow of the year made the visit extra special. Service was good and not too fast or slow. Good wine selection with many wines available by the glass. Quality of food was good, not special, but good. No complaints.
