I love this place, just beautiful, campsites are for most part nice and roomy. Also your not crammed in one next to the other for the most part, you can feel like your almost camping alone in a lot of sites. Has 2 separate shower bathroom concrete building to use, or outhouses if you prefer. No internet, and cell phone reception is iffy (both are bonuses in my book). Also has a concession stand that sells basic items, and also serves food, and ice cream. The lake level being so high lately leaves the beach really short if any at all. 10 years ago there was 15 feet of beach, now in 2017 certain areas have no beach at all.

One of my favorite parks.  On Lake Michigan.   Great camping and hiking trails. A working lighthouse. Excellent dog beach.

This park contains seven miles of undeveloped beach with beautiful sand-dunes and hiking trails. This is a uniquely beautiful gem on the west shore of Lake Michigan.

I love the bike trails here. Such a serene environment. It’s definitely worth a hike or ride through the Southern part of the forest.
