Lighthouse Inn On Lake Michigan

Staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel itself isn't anything fancy, but it is adequate, clean and a good price. The view is what you stay at this place for anyways. The view is amazing. And if you open your windows to your room, all you hear is the waves hitting against the rocks. Sounds like you're right on the ocean.

Clean, dated, but beautiful view of Lake Michigan from my room, staff was friendly, did not utilize pool or free breakfast. My big thing is having a comfortable bed and these were pretty adequate or at least I was able to sleep most of the night. The hotel was pretty crowded but it was very quiet . Only two gripes, the toilet is way too low to the ground if it's not going to get updated they should at least have a grab bar for people with bad knees and backs. There is an odd odor in the hallway when I first arrived and it almost smells like air freshener that isn't fresh at all. I'll definitely go back.

I had a fantastic view of the lake. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was more than adequate.Very clean and comfortable. Lord willing I will be back next year.

The location was beautiful. The service was only subpar the servers were not very clean in appearance or overly friendly. The food was edible but not great. It was an enjoyable time because of the event not because of the facility. We did not stay at the inn so no comment to that.

Word of warning, stay away from their swimming pool. We had a month's pass there and they Do NOT clean it daily. We watched things remain in the pool for 4 days! There was always a film on top of the pool and a layer of bugs. This is an indoor pool so it should be clean. We would spend the first 30 minutes of our 2 hour swim time just taking our noodles and doing sweeps across the pool pushing everything to the skimmer. The hot tub broke our first week there. We told them about it and we told them exactly what the problem was. It was never fixed our entire month there. When we would remind them they would either say someone else fixed it already or say when we see maintenance we will tell them, but they wrote nothing down to remind them. After a month of disgust and infections from the unclean pool we found another place to swim. Our infections went away after leaving there and we will never go back to this place again.
