Plato's Closet® is all about being fashion savvy and shopping smart. We specialize in gently used clothes and accessories for teen and twenty something girls and guys. All stores are independently owned franchises.

At Plato's Closet® you'll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can't live without - all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 15/16 and guys size 28 to 38 waist. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, and clean. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months.

Our process is quick and easy:

1. Go through your overflowing closet
2. Bring in your cool stuff
3. Walk out with new cool stuff or $$$ in your pocket!

This place used to be so good, not anymore. Their items are so bad. Of course they will only put the good ones on social media but once you get there, it’s a waste of time. They have so much items to choose from but guess what, maybe the reason for that is it’s not selling. I think it’s most them are overpriced for its present condition. It maybe name brand but some of them looks so used already. What they need to do is close the store for a day and go through what they have and re-evaluate their items. I went there to sell. Some of the items I tried to sell was a Raptors hoodie and it was still in a good condition but they didn’t take it. They took other things instead. The girl who went through my items said “it’s not on trend.” That alone surprised me! It’s a Raptors gear. C’mon. I guess I’ll just keep it. I hope they make some changes because i used to love this store. I remember bragging about it to my family. But not anymore. That’s my piece.
Love this location. They always have the best quality and brands. Staff here is always lovely and of all the Plato’s I find this location give you the best deal when purchasing your items. I live closest to the Guelph location but I’ll always drive the commute to this Brampton because it is my favourite. The staff is so friendly on their Instagram as well. They know that I’m always looking for Marc jacobs items and they don’t mind holding items for me if I’m on my way since I’m coming from 45 mins away.
So rude for no reason. No one knows how to talk to people in that store, felt so disrespected when I walked out of there. Cashiers need to work on being nicer and not treating ppl like that.
The most overpriced Plato's Closet location in the GTA. Saw an extremely worn out Aritzia shacket for $100! I'm surprised they make any sales at all. Do yourself a favour and follow the Oakville, Mississauga and Toronto locations on instagram for more reasonable prices, they're literally selling the same things for half the price ie Melina's for $35 vs $75.
I brought in about 50 items to sell. They took about half which wasn’t bad but I was expecting more, especially after walking around the store and seeing other items they’ve accepted. But at the end of the day I cleaned out my closet and made some extra cash so I’m not complaining. The cashier at the buy counter was also very nice. She had long brown hair. I was there on July 13th at about 2:30pm
I came into the store and the staff was amazing and very friendly. Although for me, the prices were kinda high for used clothes but overall the place was clean and the staff very friendly!!
Ive been shopping at platos ever since the store opened at brampton. Lauren, greeted me with a smile and noticed my name mispelled, and corrected it in their system. She has attention to detail skills and excellent customer service. Great store, will come by again!
Finding items is a hit or miss especially for the guy section because it is not that big. But overall the environment feels nice and welcoming, just wish the men section is bigger.
The men’s clothing selection is very poor and generic, It seemed like they put little to no effort into that section....I actually noticed that one of the pairs of jeans were way over priced for a pair of jeans that had paint stains all over It for $20....and it was not meant to be the style of it because the way the paint looks definitely shows someone had used them for a painting job, got paint on them and had no other option but to throw them out of give them away....as well as the music doesn’t seem to appeal to many people I have noticed that they played the same type of music continuously and the music variety is not good at all. I would recommend expanding their music options to something more appealing to different demographics. Once you apply music that appeals many different people, it really will attract others to come in more. On a positive note there was an employee named Madison that had gone out of her way to ensure that I had the best experience possible and it really did make me feel welcome. It was actually the first time I’ve ever had that type of support when coming in the store.
This is the best Plato’s location I have ever been to. Upon entering all the staff greeted me and made me feel comfortable to sell and shop for clothes. They bought about 5 of my items for $30, most of which were jeans. I was so happy because Plato’s Vaughn conned me on pricing previously. This location was thorough and gave me details on the pricing which made me feel good about my selling decision. I will definitely be back to sell and shop here again!
