Don't let that very discreet looking façade fools you! It's an amazing place to enjoy Indian food at very good price. The owner and his helper were welcoming and didn't hesitate to recommend us the best dish they have and he didn't lie . The mango lassis were delicious and since we were looking to get spicy food, we didn't regret! The taste and the spice level were mixing very well for our taste. I'd definitely recommend this lovely place as well as the Combo AA.
One of my favourite spots for Indian food in Montreal. The food is super fresh and cooked on the spot. The owner is super friendly too and loves to make sure his customers are well taken care of. Everything I’ve ordered from here is always super delicious. Would definitely keep going back and highly recommend for those who haven’t tried yet.
Had an amazing experience at this place. Great place to dine or take out if you are looking for Indian food in Montreal. You would be eating at a restaurant but still feel like dining at home, the food is authentic and original flavoured. Service was amazing, price is totally worth for the quality and quantity both. If you are not familiar with traditional spice levels of Indian food,it can be really spicy for you but don’t hesitate to let the server know, they will adjust the spice level accordingly. Saag paneer was so delicious which was served with hot naan from tandoor. Chicken biryani was delicious, with a great number of boneless chicken in it, served with raita and salad on the side. If you are Indian you know the feeling of “Maaza” try it out! They have a small unit so sitting area is small and limited to two tables but that shouldn’t stop you from eating or taking out from this place. Rukon is a hardworking individual running this little place in the heart of Montreal for about 25 years. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Definitely recommend this place. : : Don’t judge the book by its cover, try it and experience the beauty of Indian cuisine here.
Consistent quality, authentic taste, friendly service, clean kitchen and low prices. In the PLATEAU! Rukon works day and night 7 days per week to provide great food and a relaxed vibes. He uses only fresh ingredients and makes everything on the spot - a real treat to watch. I eat here many times per week as it's close to home, but I would make a special trip if it weren't.
Wow! This is the best Indian food I've had in Montréal! I got the Shrimp Tandoori plate which came with a small salad and spiced rice on the side. Everything was cooked well and was packed with spices. I just wish the portion of shrimp was bigger. I also ordered Vegetable Curry If a restaurant can do that well, then you can bet that their more "exciting" dishes are delicious! This restaurant nailed it! Just the right amount of salt, spice, creaminess, tang, and I also liked the addition of fava beans; I've never had them in a Vegetable Curry before! I'm looking forward to trying some of their meat curries and breads the next time I order which is soon sooner than you’d think lol. Overall, I would highly* recommend this restaurant for affordable and super flavourful Indian food!
$18 Shrimp Masala I think it's a joke. Looks like a kid's menu. Compare with the size of spoon. Food tastes ok but had to go to another restaurant because dishes are so small.
Worst Indian food experience. Beware as the reviews led me there and the poor food convinced me they can’t be real. Everything, and I mean everything, was sweet wasn’t aromatic and lacked taste. The saag paneer was doused in tomato paste/ketchup. The chicken Korma had coconut shreds in, which can be interesting, but tasted like sweetened yogurt was used. Samosa dough and naan were undercooked. Half the content of meat of dishes was potatoes. Avoid.
Indian cuisine LOVERS This is the place! Plateau Cuisine Indienne deserves the HIGHLY RATED Google reviews! Authentic, delicious, and Rukon provides the most friendly service you can get. I still can't imagine what just went in my tummy. sooo goood! Just amazing food! Their mango lassy is also a must try. The chicken was so juicy and tasty. ouch! This place is definitely a Jem found and if you want great food, you found it. Definitely worth going there. I can't wait to come back.
Amazing customer Service ! Family run Indian cuisine in the Plateau. It’s inexpensive and tastes good. The food is authentic! a variety of meals and desserts are available and made to order, it feels like family member cooking for you. They open recently go support this local family-run spot. Don’t hesitate to stop by and order or call.
I and my friends went to take out food and we ordered Chicken Biryani, Shrimp Biryani, Fish Pakora, Shrimp Paplo, and Chicken Kabab. Honestly, the food was very very bad, it was not tasty at all, there was coconut in the biryani and we felt like everything was undercooked. It might taste good for other people, but we didn't like it. This place is not worth it if you want good Indian food.
