Large, well stocked store with the items on special I was looking for... Lots of clientele, so they can afford to have much variety of products. 2 or 3 pleasant cashiers, ready for rushes!!

I went to this Jean Couture last night round 10:00 p.m., and the young-male pharmacist was so disrespectful and demeaning about my issue. I already filed a complaint. Just wanted to draw attention to the pharmacist - and his lack of professionalism and respect towards sensitive matters. I felt utterly insuted.

I only had one question about allergy medications. I wanted to know the difference between one box that only had one ingredient and the other box had two medical ingredients. I can speak French fluently, but when it concerns medical jargon, I can't understand or respond well. I asked a young man behind the pharmacist counter what the difference was, and his response (No joke) was, "One is the personelle brand and the other is the Claritin Brand" So I started laughing because....for a person who deals with medicine behind the counter in a pharmacy, that was a pretty stupid reply. I'm not sure what kind of training this young man with glasses, and spikey brown hair was thinking, but it was really unprofessional. So he told me to wait in the waiting area to have my question answered by the pharmacist. I had to wait almost 20 minutes just to have a simple question answered about medical ingredients on allergy medications. Not only that, the young man put m name wrong on the slip. I think this guy needs to go back to school. Very disappointed.

If you're just picking up a prescription then you shouldn't have a problem. But if you require anything else (a prescription transfer or your year totals for tax purposes) don't expect much. Convincing a pharmacist to assist beyond the minium is hard enough but even then they seem pretty clueless. Obviously this is not true for all staff but it's happened more then a few times.

Nice Jean Coutu. Has a good selection of products, like any other JC store. Friendly staff.
