My friend made me discover this place and since then, I am hooked with their truffle gnocchi dish... wow heavenly made. You must try it! And also their Margarita pizza is to die for.. their pizzas are fire up in the wood burning. The crust is so damn good, and the toppings are over the top fresh. Their drinks are so good, the bartender knows what he/she is doing. The ambiance is sexy moody, a lot of beautiful people there. Especially during summer, dress up and go have a date. Just beautiful, and also the waiters are very friendly. A must visit if you are new in town!
In my opinion this place never disappoints, every time I go there I know exactly what to expect. Food is good and comforting always the same quality. It’s not the best place in the city for food, but if you’re looking for a good vibe, good music and ambiance it’s a great place! The polpette was good, but had too much pepper. I would still order this dish again. For pasta, I had the rigatoni wrong pasta. It was okay, it needs more sauce and I could easily make a better dish at home. However, I go to Moretti for the delicious burrata pizza. Oh my this pizza is so good you definitely have to order it if you like mushrooms and truffle oil!
I have been avoiding this place for some time and finally decided to give it a chance. We had a 9pm reservation on a Saturday night. Arrived to a line outside the door, no hostess . Got passed everyone and found our friends at the table only reason they are getting 2 starts , was because the table was ready entrees were decent nothing special . Music was so insanely loud we couldn’t hear each other talk nor the waitress . I understand a good vibe but this was club level . Ordered two 300$ bottles of wine. The waitress just shoved It into a carafe and filled pour glasses to the brim. So 1 bottles into 4 glasses , took the bottle and left . I ordered a steak plate rare . At around 9:45. We received all our mains around 12:30. Appetite had pretty much left . Not to mention my steak was well done . they did not charge me for this they offered us a round of shots. But still I wanted to eat and eat well. Definitely will not go back here for food. Maybe drinks at the bar but I highly doubt that also.
We chose to go here finally , living in the neighborhood had to try it. Food was great, really tastes well and portioned good too. There was huge wait time for the food though and it was light warm when arrived, guessing it was delayed to bring to our table. Ambience is good , always crowded and loud/noisy. Depends if you like noisy places. We liked it. It had good vegetarian options too. We had Margherita5/5 and 4 cheese pizza4/5 Fettuccine truffle sauce pasta 4.5/5. Also they charge you $8 fir water , which was not mentioned when we asked fir normal water. Vegetarian options: Many options available Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
Pizza crust is thin and crispy which I like. The sea bass with lobster on top is good too. Octopus is a bit overcooked and chewy. Otherwise overall great food and vibe.
I was always sceptic about fancy italian restaurant. The impression my friends and I always have are everytime we order food, we always got super small portion and it always taste the same. Moretti Pizzeria is different, price/quantity/quality are friendly. And the food is really good and refined. I will definitely recommend it. Food and services are top notch. A little bit to loud for my taste.
Went to catch up with a friend and overall, I’d go again. We both got drinks, mine was a cocktail so it took a long time to receive but was very good. As for our meals both got pasta and a salad to share we got it super quickly! The gnocchi and bolognese were very good, but I’ve had Bologne I’ve liked more at different restaurants. The Caesar salad was good, but nothing crazy. Difficult to get the waiter’s attention, and very cramped seating unless you’re a large group. The one crazy good thing we did have was the tiramisu - absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly overall, and the food was great - just didn’t like being cramped, how loud the music was, and that we got charged for water we’re not in Europe for goodness’ sake. Would get takeout definitely to avoid the ambiance since the food is definitely worth it. Vegetarian options: Many dishes without meat, not vegan friendly though due to the cheeses.
Pappardelle alla Vodka: fresh tasting pappardelle, lovely taste, balanced flavours, would recommend Gnocchi Cacio E Pepe: fresh tasting gnocchi, truffle is a nice addition to the dish, perfect amount of pepper, would recommend Fettucine Al Funghi: fresh tasting fettucine, sauce not out of the ordinary but tastes okay, would not recommend Crostata al Limone: a bit too sweet, just enough lemon-yuzu flavour though, but would not recommend Fondente al Cioccolato: their best dessert, chocolate perfectly sweet, balanced out with abricot and pistachio ice cream, would recommend Tiramisu: flat, too soft, and barely holds on its own, expresso taste is barely there, would not recommend Service: manager who showed us our table was nice and friendly. Then it became confusing, as we were unsure who our waiter was since many people came to see us busboy? busgirl? hostess? waiter? waitress?. Towards the end, a woman that never spoke to us came with the machine for us to pay, felt random, did not understand her role since she did not serve us? Water: for the water to be charged 8$+, at least make sure it's nice and cold, and tastes different from tap water. Letting customers know that the water will be charged would be appreciated as well. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options, would recommend the Pappardelle alla Vodka and the Gnocchi Cacio E Pepe Kid-friendliness: Somewhat kid-friendly as long as the parents make sure the kids are not running around the restaurant
Not for everyone. You should go here if you’re looking for a nice scene on a Saturday night. The place is alive and buzzing. But if you’re looking for great Italian food and a restaurant experience - it’s not a top choice. The gnocchi was mushy and over salted, kale salad was nice and fresh, buratta pizza was soggy. Drinks were below basic and the prices are not in alignment with what you receive. We waited over an hour for the food. Our waitress was friendly and did her best.
Great ambiance, warm dim lights and just enough enough background noise. Classy Italian restaurant but still has an urban vibe, the staff were super kind and welcoming and the food was amazing. I feel the need to come by every week.Recommended dishesPizza Burrata
