One of the best Italian restaurant you can find in town! Simple but so delicious! The burrata was so fresh, perfectly matches with the tomatoes dipped in the olive oil. Oh and the veal ravioli... 100% Highly recommended!
Best authentic Italian restaurant I have been. Everything is made freshly on the day by Emma. It's a family owned restaurant. They are open everyday except for Saturday's Everything they serve you is imported from Italy directly. This is considered a 5 star restaurant so $$$+ As soon as you are seated and ordered they bring you a slice of bruschetta and also fresh bread with oil and vinegar If you go here you must have the gorgonzola ravioli, the burrata, the peppercorn steak, the lamb, the pistochio turtufo etc .. The best burrata ive had, and I've been to many places, it's crazy how fresh the cheese is. Everything on the menu is very good from the entrees to the desserts. The hardest part about going here is to make a decision on to what to get and not to over order. The soup of the day changes everytime and always so yummy. Always served well no complain about that It's always full when you go, to get reservations you need to call them In the summer they also have a big patio outside. They also have free of charge valet parking. This place is located underground This place is perfect for couples and also for but groups. If you loved authentic Nona made food this is the place to go. Definitely a must try, I would off given it 5*+ if I could
Very nice grandma cuisine. Just the credit payment was not working with a remote handle. The waiter took the credit card away and came back to ask for the payment at their station.
Honestly, we were expecting so much more given the celebrity photos and Montreal institution reputation of Da Emma.. Our server looked like he was ready to fall asleep at any moment. It took 20 minutes from the time we sat down until we received our first drink. He made mistakes on 2/4 of our orders. But that wasn't the worst part.. Look at this photo. This was a $47 sirloin, literally swimming in "peppercorn sauce", with a side of cheap boxed pasta soaked in tomato sauce... my wife had a completely flavorless sea bass $49 that she was constantly pulling bones from. Maybe we just don't get the hype, maybe it was a one off bad experience, but dinner for 4 was $700 including two $110 bottles of barolo which was the best part of the meal. If you are going to spend this kind of money on a meal, go somewhere else in Montreal. This was food I would expect from a cheap hotel buffet.
Amazing. The blue cheese ravioli was the best I’ve ever had. Tiramisu, tart, fettuccini we’re all good as well. Will definitely be coming back. Waiters and staff are all very nice too.
Such a fantastic place. Amazing food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. The complimentary bruschetta and bread was such a pleasant, delicious surprise. You can tell that each ingredient used is top quality. The lamb and gorgonzola cheese ravioli were the stars of the show not photographed because we dug into it immediately. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fabulous and authentic Italian cuisine in Old Town Montreal. The service was lively and impeccable. The food was amazing end to end from the Burrata to the pasta to the Carne. We will make this a stop everytime!
My favorite Italian restaurant ever! A Very cozy hidden gem in old Montréal serving the best fine Italian cuisine done by chef Emma. everything on the menu is delicious, idéal for dates and small groups. Professional and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
We went as a family of two adults and two kids. This place is nice, but probably not the right one if you are looking for a simple family dinner. It seems to be rather for an expensive romantic or business dinner. No pizza, which was surprising to us in an Italian restaurant. No desserts or maybe we missed a separate menu, ice cream would great for kids. We liked wine. My daughter liked bread with butter most of all. The personal was very friendly and caring making our experience good overall. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is rather for adults or older kids, because it looks like a better fit for an expensive romantic or business dinner. Also no pizza or ice cream. The kids will be fine and treated with care but they won't be excited. Parking: Free on site
Another old port land mark. I think everyone knows the backstory of this place it was a women’s prison that was transformed into a restaurant by the famous Emma who is now the Nonna in the kitchen. A ton of celebrities go eat there on the regular whenever there’s a movie being filmed in Montreal and I’m sure they love the food just as much as I did when I went to recently and had the meatballs and everything else
