Piquillo Bistro de Quartier

Loved it. Excellent service, comfy elegant bistro atmosphere, well executed food. You can have a bunch of the 'tapas' dishes to fill you up, but there are 'mains' as well. Great for a date or whoever. Not a budget spot but not especially expensive for this class of restaurant either. Two 'tapas' (starter) dishes, two 'mains', one bottle of wine, one dessert, and two espressos was a very reasonable $150 (after-tax, before-tip). We shared the fresh anchovies in olive oil & garlic (boquerones), which are a must have, and the simple but well executed soup of the day. I had the rabbit as my main which I quite enjoyed and we shared the squash cake for dessert which was moist and yummy. Wine selection seems good, the 44$ bottle suggested to us was a very nice dry tasty red. We had a great time and would certainly consider visiting again. PS. They also have breakfast on the weekend.

Really high quality Basque cuisine. They serve a dozen small ' tapas' plates as well a some larger main courses. Simple food, quality ingredients, perfectly cooked! Doesn't get much better than this. Try the anchovies. ;-)

The owners of this cozy little restaurant treat their guests like family. I had a breakfast waffle, and the toppings were original and delicious. Just about everything is homemade, even their jams. I recommend making a reservation first. The owners are responsive on Facebook.
