Pickering Physiotherapy Institute

I have been a patient of the clinic for the better part of a year and have no reservations in recommending this facility to those who are in need of its services. My observations is that the strong leadership shown by the clinic manager (Shawna) sets a positive tone for her staff and bodes well for patients of the clinic. Shawna is caring, pleasant, detail oriented and responds promptly to recommendations or concerns. This creates an environment that is welcoming and is conducive to and promotes wellness. Another key observation is that there is mutual respect among the staff that results in strong teamwork making it better for patients overall. In particular, the staff at the front desk makes it as easy as possible by dealing with all of the administrative paperwork and does an amazing job at coordinating services of the physiotherapy staff, chiropractor, massage therapist, naturopathic doctor all in an effort to maximize patient wellness. On an individual level staff members have done their very best to accommodate my wellness needs – including but not limited to flexibility in bookings, developing my wellness goals and most importantly by providing encouragement and motivation. It is truly an amazing place with amazing people. My sincere thanks to the Shawna and her staff for the effort and diligence that is brought to the job every day. It’s made a difference in my life.

From the moment I walked into the clinic I know I made the right choice. I was greeted with the friendliest front desk group of ladies. The paperwork was easy and I was seen right on time. The physiotherapist was friendly, knowledgeable and very through with his exam. He took the time to listen to my concerns and explained my treatment plan and expected results. I was also treated by Celina the assistant who was very helpful and explained exactly what she was doing and why. The best part, this is the same treatment I received from the staff at this clinic every single time! Outstanding clinic with amazing staff!!

I went in on Monday to see the Physiotherapist and had Rommel treat me. When I went in I could barely move my neck it was so painful. After being treated once by Rommel and Alfred, I regained a lot of mobility and by Wednesday the pain was subsiding. Everyone I have dealt with at the clinic has been extremely pleasant. I cannot thank them enough for helping me with this injury. I look forward to my next visit since I know it will help so much in my full recovery. Highly recommend.

The physiotherapist Rommel is very knowledgeable and trust worthy. Im only rating it low since I was pretty shocked to find out that the following visits for the pt will be working with the pta instead of the physiotherapist, I think its very costly for me to keep going for 30 mins to see physiotherapist assistant without insurance coverage.I have nothing againgst the assistants but I would expect that Rommel will be working with the client throughout the treatment course in order to keep up with the pt progress or any modifications or changes with the patient condition. Otherwise, the front desk is one of the friendliest people I have dealt with in the phone, making appointments is hassle free, and they would really try to book your preferred time.

I really like this clinic. I’ve been to more clinics than I can count since I have a chronic condition so I know how most clinics operate. This clinic goes above and beyond. They know that in my profession things come up and they are always understanding if I am a few minutes late. Because I’m so busy I was searching for a place that had everything. They delivered. I come for Physio, acupuncture, chiropractic care AND their naturopathic doctor. It’s the one-stop shopping clinic for sure! On top of all the above, they always make me smile and sometimes outright laugh out loud so, really, they treat me physically and emotionally! I highly recommend them; I haven’t regretted coming here and it’s been almost a year now.
