Pho Khanh Express

We are visiting Vancouver for the first time and looked for a menu with soup to end a chilly day on a warm note. We found Pho Khanh Express and saw it was well reviewed and in a central downtown location. We were warmly received and order Pho and Satay steak noodle soup. They were incredible. The spring rolls the tea, the service, we had a great time! Highly recommend.

The restaurant’s vibe is like settling down for dinner at the home of a super kind & cheery friend. The pink & chandelier decor was a fun touch & I loved the tree covered in red envelopes. The food though was the most incredible part of the night. So delicious & served with the utmost care from the staff. Loved my meal here & would recommend if you’re looking for a night of delicious food & supporting awesome small business!

Had supper here tonight. I had the #30 curry beef with vermicelli x-large bowl and my wife had the #64 grilled chicken & spring roll with vermicelli. Both dishes were fantastic. Mine had a nice spice level to it too. Of course it was more than I could finish but they gave me a container and a bag for my leftovers. They even advised me how to add a bit of water while reheating the remainder for best results otherwise it would be too thick. Prices were excellent for the amount and the quality of the food. Lastly, service was top notch and we'll have to make sure to return the next time we are in Vancouver.

Came here on Friday night at dinner time. All I can say, I just ordered the most delicious pho in town. Really love the broth taste soo delicious with royal amount of beef brisket. I think I ordered #13 XL size. Dont get this one, if you are a small eater. Honestly, taste much better and tastier than the one we had in Old Town Hanoi, Vietnam couple years back during one of our holiday trip through South East Asia. I also read couple other review before coming & there were couple comments about slow service & all that, well, I can say I didnt experience any of that. Its peak hour & heaps of guests are coming, but the staff still keep the service high & friendly, food coming out fast, hot & fresh. So, keep up the good job guys. Definitely will come back again very soon.

Was craving some pho and Vietnamese food and stumbled upon Pho Khanh Express. After reading a few of the great reviews, I thought I’d check it out! Everything that has been matches the expectation. This place has great service, delicious food and great value! Will definitely be coming back.

Visited on the weekend and really liked the food here! The spring rolls are really nice and crunchy! They have a wide range of soup options that I will definitely be going back to try out. I will say that service wasn’t the best; it was quick but our server wasn’t very helpful when trying to figure out the menu. He also didn’t bring us waters that we asked for a couple times.

Pleasantly surprised by the great flavours! I had the #68 Grilled Lemon Grass Beef & Spring Roll w/Vermicelli...$15. The beef was sliced very thin which made it tender and the lemongrass flavour really came through. The spring roll was the authentic Vietnamese style wrapped with rice paper... One of the best ones I've ever had. I also appreciated the extra large glass of ice water with slice of lemon because it was a hot day. I'll have to come back for their pho one of these days.

Four of us had a quick lunch here because it is close to the hotel we were staying. I ordered the grilled pork chop with fried egg on rice while others ordered noodle, prawn and chicken skewers plus salad roll. The service was very good as we have different dietary requirements. The staff took her time to explain and made suggestions. Good size for the meals and reasonable priced for the ovation! This explains why the restaurant was quickly filled after we sat down at 11am! Two in our group ordered Vietnamese coffee and it smelled authentic. Will come back again.

Ordered a house special XL and #52 lemongrass pork chop on rice. The pho is pretty yummy, soup is hot and balance between sweet and salty, full of beef taste! Yummy. But XL isn’t quit that big proton for me. #52 is super size and came with two pork chops, taste not bad but not that super delicious. It was a busy lunch hours, service was soso but acceptable. Would go back whenever I m in that area.

My go to place for delicious food and ambience on a stressful day of work. The pho has a unique flavour compared to the other restaurants I've visited at the lower mainland. The folks running the place are friendly and kind so it feels welcoming. Would recommend the curry chicken pho which is my favourite in the ones I've tried so far.
