I find Vietnamese food salty but this one isn’t. Obviously less sodium, yet very tender and tasty. Portion is good, Pricing is good too. I’m becoming a regular.
This small family owned Pho noodle house is clean and tidy. Nice service. not thirsty feel after drinking soup. fair price.
Ordered the pho and it was good. Unfortunately the rice dish with pork chop and chicken was sub par. The pork chop was okay but the chicken was dry and not freshly made. It seems like the grilled chicken has been pre made and heated up. It was also missing the skin which I like. The rice was also dry.
The pho is pretty decent, I love their Vietnamese subs. The pho is above average. Not the best, but good. I feel like the soup base could be better made, the one near by that is quite famous is noticeably better.
Their beef soup base is kind of sweet like sugar, not real beef broth! Their chicken is dry and salty! Their food quality is quite unstable, sometimes good sometimes bad!
I had the pho, it was not "bad" but it's not good either, just a complete lack of flavour, and bulk rice noodles. It was on the sweeter side so southern/Saigon style. But really, this is average of the average, even for Canada. A good neighbourhood mom and pop shop. But for good pho, go to Lunch Lady for southern style and Linh Café for nothern Hanoi style Parking: Strip mall parking in front of the business
We had lunch here and it was mediocre. The server was distracted and not present. Service overall was okay. The food was okay. I'm not a fan of the noodles they used. They were too soft and seemed over cooked. The amount of meat was good. The cartilage needed to be stewed a little more. The broth did not have much spice. Pho is simmered with spices and while the soup was meaty- it was not flavourful. Would we come back? Probably not. Was it a bad lunch? No, but the food was forgettable.
I'm not sure what some of the previous reviews were talking about. The staff were wearing masks. The soup was pretty sweet and tasty. The meat, though none of it was bloody red rare, was not tough, but quite well done. The rice dish was super good. The chicken was really moist as I couldn't tell if it was breast or thigh. The pork and beef were juicy too.
Great value Vietnamese. Local eatery family run. Service is average, but food never disappoints. Update Oct 2022: I was disappointed to see how much they have hiked up their prices recently. Yes, inflation and price increases are everywhere, but when a $12 dish goes to $16 for lunch it used to be $10 and competitors with better presentation and quality ingredients are available for $13-14, I will have to go elsewhere. No longer great value. Dropped from 4 star to 2 star.
Great food decent prices, Best sub imo, love wonton soup Also some new dishes like banana leaf wrap really interestingFood: 5/5
