All Ages Welcome including a kid's nook w/ toys & books
Dogs welcome in designated areas w/ water dishes in front of building.

Mission

There is a part of Josh Pfriem in every glass of pFriem Beer he produces; this is because Pfriem stands for something – a system of values, a way of life and a code for living.

pFriem Family Brewers is a deep reflection of its surroundings…from the rich community of friends and family that envelops our town, to the magnificent Cascade Mountain Range that stretches to our beautiful coastal waters.

Our brewery is nestled deep in a gorge at the foot of a grand mountain. As far as the eye can see, orchards and vineyards drape the hillsides that climb upward all the way to the summit of the great peak. These stunning landscapes with the lifestyle they create, inspires us to brew complex, artisanal, and world class beers.

Products

We strive for beers that are elegant, floral, and refreshing, but are bold, complex, and passionate. These beers are brewed with the highest quality ingredients, while using sustainable practices to protect this region that we all love so much. Pfriem beer is a symphony of flavor and balance, focusing on the Northwest and Belgian influenced styles of beer.

We offer our beer on draft in Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, BC with bottles coming in 2015!

pFriem Family Brewers is located along the beautiful Columbia River Highway along the waterfront. We stopped in for lunch after doing the Multnomah Falls hike. The brewery is spacious and well decorated. They have a good selection of beers to choose from and the service is good. I had an American Lager which I thought was very tasty. Exactly what you would expect when ordering a beer. For lunch, we had an elote salad, chicken wings, and ceviche. All were very tasty. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad. The spice would build with every bite but it wasn't painful. It really added to the flavor. They also offer growler fills and cans of beer you can purchase to take with you. Pricing is what you would expect at an upscale brew pub. $10-$20 per plate. We had a good time at this brewery and would return without thinking twice.
The beer was great the food could have been better. I got the watermelon and feta appetizer, and that was very good on a hot summer day. I definitely recommend giving that a shot if you're here in the summertime. Also got the veggie burger with french fries. French fries were pretty decent, they were crisp and they were well seasoned. More than I can say for a lot of other places. They clearly put some effort into their veggie burger, but unfortunately they're homemade patty just was kind of gluey and mushy. I appreciate that places are trying to come up with veggie burgers that are distinct, but they really are to at least just give the option of having an impossible patty. I think with something like that their veggie burger would have been really good.
Not only is pFriem one of our go-to places while in Hood River for exceptional craft beer, but I’m a tough critic of fish ‘n chips and imo theirs is one of the best I’ve had. The batter was perfectly crispy—not the soggy stuff you find at most places and the fish was fresh and flavorful. We had the seasonal peach crème brûlée for dessert, which got devoured fast. Service was friendly, too, so all around a great place to visit!
Highly recommend stopping by this beautiful brewery as you travel up the gorge.nnIt's a big, open, lively space with lots of people and a view of the water. The food was really good: we got the fish and chips and the fish sandwich. The fish had a really nice gluten-free crust/batter that was crispy with a perfect amount of spice!nnService was excellent and it was overall a great lunch stop.
