Petra Shawarma

Nice and quiet place with friendly staff. Good food. Beef shawarma was a little too dry and one of the guys actually mixed it with oil as we were getting served. Pita chips looked either a bit too old or like they’ve been dipped/fried in different type of oil for very long time that made them look greasy… overall other than those minor things food tasted good

Taste of the beef wrap was the closest for an authentic Shawarma. The sauce however was on the small side so I guess you can ask them if they can put more. Also, I saw that they are cooking new batches of meat but somehow they still used the beef from the leftover tray and didn’t shaved a new one. That’s why some of the beef were hard to bite and stale.

Really friendly place! Just a tad bit on the expensive side. The small shawarma wrap is 10 dollars and it’s pretty small. They up their prices: but other than that, it was really good! I wish they had more veggie options as well as sauces.

Really yummy and great portions! Not quite a standard donair, in addition to the pita it’s all wrapped in saaj bread a very thin wrap and pressed so it keeps everything neatly inside! We had a couple beef donair wraps with all the toppings, and a couple of poutines which were generous portions and all fresh!

Nice and clean space, delicious food and great customer service. Especially Abo Daraa, Fahid and Melaz!

We ordered from here for the first time last night. The food was fantastic!! Also, the staff including the owner were great to deal with. They definitely care about their food and their customer service. It is easy to see why this place was rated as Calgary's best donair place I googled donairs. We will definitely ear here again.

Khalid is an absolute GEM! By far the best shawarma I've ever had. Great taste, great service, great hospitality, and its always fresh. If you love true authentic shawarma, then go to PETRA!!!!

very horrible place, i genuinely think they bought reviews. i ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and ended up getting a lettuce wrap. the few pieces of chicken had bones in them and were very chewy. the place looked filthy like it hasn’t been cleaned for years. and to top it all off they have the audacity to overprice they’re food crazy. NEVER COME HERE!!!

Stumbled here accidently and it didn't disappoint! Absolutely love the food here. We ordered mixed platter and Shish Tawouk. Our bill came to be a total of $29.30 and we were full! I ordered Pepperoni Pizza too because it was yummy. That costed me $3.00 per slice. They have an offer going where if you order 2 slices you get a pop free. Khaled and Hasan were so polite and nice. Really friendly to talk to and we did speak about many things. Definitely coming again and will be trying out their shawarmas.

Fine quality Middle Eastern eats. Easy to find and located in a plaza with ample parking. Location itself is large with many tables and clean and modern decor. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Garlic potatos, hummus and salad are one of the best in the city. You must try the potatoes! The rice is very good and seasoned very well. Meat seasoning is on the plain side and can be a little dry based on personal preference, but overall it's very quality. Very large serving sizes. This place must not be missed if you're in the area looking for Middle Eastern cuisine.
